Vault Package #20 Shipping Completed!

Vault Package #20 Shipping Completed!

Hey there all,

After a very busy period here at Third Man headquarters, we are finally done shipping all the Lazaretto Vault packages. If you still have not received a tracking number for your package #20 (and signed up as a Platinum member before April 30), please let us know right away at vault@thirdmanrecords.com. Also, to reiterate from the last posting, we now will begin processing exchange and replacement requests that have been sent over the past few weeks. Although we usually accept exchange and replacement requests only up to 14 days after packages are received, we will allow for a longer grace period this quarter, lasting up through today for domestic members. We appreciate your patience very much and remind you to keep your eyes peeled for the next Vault package announcement shortly!

I’ve had no letter from Royal Mail and my status is still at Customs Clearance, I was hoping like many I would receive it today. As for the customs charge, I won’t be cancelling my membership but I do hope this isn’t a regular thing with our future packages, and if so maybe TMR will increase the shipping for international subscribers. Either way paying almost £20 extra isn’t good.

@ Charlotte – Yeah, I’ve not emailed Third Man about this yet, so please do.

I thought more people would’ve received their Parcel Force letter by now? I cant be the only one!

Charlotte

Glad to know I’m not the only one in the UK with this prob. I don’t want this to be my last Vault package after seeing the next one. Shall take it up with Third Man when the Post Office finally let me know the cost as we’ve all had to pay the extra $20 import fee too.

Was just going to comment on this, but looks like everyone in the UK is in the same boat. If this is going to be a regular occurrence I’m afraid I won’t be getting any more Vault packages as that makes it too expensive. :(

whiteviolet

@ StanleyP We shouldn’t. We’ll have to take it up with the Post Office if that’s the case.

StanleyP

looks like Import VAT @ £10.39 means it’s been worked out on $80 not $60. :( We’d be charged either way, but I don’t think we should be paying VAT on the shipping fee.

whiteviolet

@ Kelly Clapton – thanks for letting us know. Clearance fee is what I called the handling fee I guess. Third Man Records maybe put the amount we have actually been charged for the package -$60 (hopefully without postage charges included – which would then be $80) as the value of the parcel rather than the amount they normally put on them and because it’s over the limit allowed we’ve been charged import taxes I suppose but without seeing the parcel I really don’t know.

*just realized i put ‘Import Duty’ when its actually ‘Import VAT’, sorry!

kelly clapton

@StanleyP and whiteviolet, the letter from Parcel Force has -

Import Duty – £10.39
Clearence Fee – £8.00

which totals to £18.39. From what I can gather, some of that should’ve been paid when it was sent out and that is why we pay more for our vault package than people in the US. I’ve had every single package, and this is the first time this has happened, so I feel something has gone awry somewhere and it would be quite nice for someone from Third Man to explain incase this happens again.

Hello, I’m in France and never received any shipping confirmation or tracking info. Wrote to the vault several times last week but had no answer. Anyone from Third Man can give me an answer please?
