Neal Daniel Couldn’t agree more. I totally get that not everyone can afford to spend $1,000.00 on a turntable, but if you’re putting down $240.00/yr on a Vault membership, consider putting at least twice that amount on a nice turntable and cartridge to protect your investment. I would also recommend getting a stylus gauge and protractor to set up your turntable- maybe another $30.00, but well worth the cost when you consider the benefit!

So cool. Thanks for sharing!

Jamie wins.
I have a pair of those pioneer speakers too. Not only do the grills look cool as hell, they sound great through old pioneer receivers. I got mine hooked up to a Pioneer SX-626.

I’m surprised I didn’t see any JBL L100s in someone’s setup

No offense, but I think it’s practically criminal to recommend Crosley turntables. People will unknowingly destroy their precious Vault releases.

@Sky Ray: You might do some of this already, but here are some thoughts. If you want to reduce shelf wear, put your jackets in plastic sleeves and store vertically (not flat or leaning). You don’t want the jackets rubbing against one another without a protective layer in between. Plastic sleeves are essential for this purpose and are also great for keeping dust penetration to a minimum. Also, don’t pack your shelves too dense. Let the records have a little wiggle room between them. I’ve done this for years with records old and new with no problems. Finally, if you have a record that fits too snug into a jacket you can always get a plain white cardboard jacket for the record to help preserve the actual record jacket. I’ve done this with some of my more prized albums that have weak jackets.
