I see what you’’re doing here… starting a thread about stereo equipment to keep everyone on the edge of their seat waiting for the announcement on Vault #30…. Well played, TMR …. Well played….

…anyway, criticizing folks’ choices from storage to spinning just perpetuates the myth that vinyl is too precious to be practical. It’s not. I am happy to see posts like these, and I beseech anyone who wants to disparage someone else’s choices to wait for the post entitled “Tell Me How To Use Vinyl Cause I Work In A Record Store So Obviously How Could I Even Know” or whatever

Alabama_Leigh

Karl. Shut up with that fish tank. This post is boffo, y’all! I am not reading the comments because I can feel the Crosley critiques lurking. It’s a joy to see ANY love for records, and I deeply appreciate Third Man helping to keep that love alive. As a teen in the nineties spinning my Mom’s LPs, I had no idea if the formatting would even be around today. I am curious to know if getting the job inspired anyone to buy their FIRST turntable, or is owning vinyl a prerequisite for employment? ;)

Love this post

Scott Grady

Great record choice, Karl. That ones in heavy rotation on my turntable as well. “Tiny” is my favorite.

Marc Bourgea

Ben, do you have two 1200s….and a mixer too?

All very neat and tidy! My two Numark turntables, built into my kitchen 18 years ago, are covered in concert stickers and record labels(the one’s outside of new albums on the plastic). Along with records everywhere! Can’t stop listening to The Heavy’s Hurt & The Merciless.

patriarchofrad

oh boland is solid, hadn’t listened to them before.

andrews_melb

I heard some people dont even play the vaults they get each 1/4? Just an online rumour though! Although that could be a bit better than playing it on a crosley! these packages are just great, even ones i dont love im happy to have on vinyl and would never sell. To me its a good thing to be able to be involved in something that is only released this way. Good work TMR

Great post! Nice to see what other people are doing and listening to. I got the Audio-Technica AT-PL120 for my birthday from the wife this year and have been enjoying shopping for albums again for the first time in over 20 years.
