TIDAL SUBSCRIPTION PROMOTION FOR VAULT MEMBERS

TIDAL SUBSCRIPTION PROMOTION FOR VAULT MEMBERS

The Third Man Records Vault Subscription Service, responsible for the quarterly packages of limited edition vinyl records you all know and love and exclusive merchandise as well as the inside scoop on Third Man goings on and concert pre-sales, is proud to announce a new perk for its members. All Third Man Records Platinum Vault members already pay $60 (US) per quarter for their subscriptions to the Vault. Beginning today all Platinum Vault members (new and existing) are eligible to ALSO have TIDAL HiFi subscriptions (normally $19.99/month) for only an additional $5/month (totaling of $65/quarter (US) for your Vault subscription and unlimited access to high quality streams). This 75% discount on TIDAL HiFi subscriptions remains in effect in perpetuity, for as long as a Vault member's subscription remains active and uninterrupted. TIDAL, an artist-owned and artist-friendly streaming service, has two tiers of subscriptions: a standard quality $9.99/month version (TIDAL Premium), and the high-fidelity, CD-quality, lossless audio $19.99 version (TIDAL HiFi) we are offering to Platinum Vault members at 75% off, as well as exclusive content and access to intimate live shows around the world.

Vault members can access their promo code to unlock this discount in their Third Man Store Account Dashboard, and should proceed to http://tidal.com/ and "REDEEM VOUCHER" to enter their code. The discount will remain in effect for as long as the Vault member's subscription is continuously active, but please note, this is a ONE TIME discount. Once a Vault subscription is cancelled, the discount code is with which it is associated will be disabled and cannot be reactivated. Any interruption in Vault membership will result in the irreversible invalidation of the associated coupon. To clarify, if you cancel your subscription on your current e-mail address, your $5 TIDAL subscription then becomes a $20 subscription, and this cannot be reversed.

TIDAL is available via browser and mobile device, using Google Play and the Apple App Store.

Today is a particularly good day to join the Vault + TIDAL Hifi because Jack White's final acoustic performance in Fargo, North Dakota last week, which streamed live on TIDAL and the Vault, has now been archived and is available to stream in its entirety in both locations. To top it off, Jay Z announced on Wednesday that he will be putting on a Special TIDAL X Jaÿ Z B-Sides Concert, which will stream exclusively on TIDAL on May 13th.

Because we are announcing this partnership on the 1st day of a new Vault quarterly cycle (the soon-to-be-announced Vault Package #25), we are allowing new members who sign up this week (before next Friday, May 8th at 5pm CST), to purchase Vault Package #24 in addition to their new membership, an extension of the deadline, of sorts. If you sign up for a Vault Platinum subscription in the next week and are interested in receiving the Loretta Lynn Vault Package, which features a reissue of the Jack White-produced Van Lear Rose 12" LP with a previously unreleased bonus track, a 7" of White Stripes covers of Lynn's classic songs, an exclusive DVD of Lynn and White revisiting the time of Van Lear Rose in conversation and song, and a few extra treats, give our Vault customer service department a call at (615) 891-4393 x315 in the next week to secure your package as an addition to your new subscription.

Got questions about how any of this works? Feel free to e-mail vault@thirdmanrecords.com for answers! Enjoy your unlimited access to great-quality music, dear friends!

UPDATE: PLEASE NOTE, IN YOUR DASHBOARD, YOUR CODE WILL SAY "STATUS-USED." THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOUR CODE HAS ALREADY BEEN USED AT TIDAL. PROCEED TO TIDAL, REDEEM VOUCHER, ENTER THE CODE, AND YOU WILL SEE YOUR SPECIAL PRICE REFLECTED THERE.

HOWEVER, WE ARE EXPERIENCING AN ISSUE WITH CUSTOMERS WHO ALREADY HAVE EXISTING TIDAL SUBSCRIPTIONS, AND WE ARE WORKING ON IT! WE WILL HAVE YOU UP AND RUNNING ASAP...

Good news, it appears that the Tidal customer service people now have accurate information about the duration of the voucher.

Barbara Buschiazzo

@kali Durga At first The 2 months thing, then they told that they were unable to locate an account under my subscription ( don’t tell me, try again!) , now that my voucher can’t be applied in Italy… I’m just laughing. I will be patient though… And I have a perfectly working Spotify premium account.. it makes me laugh but it isn’t funny

caity

i totally screwed this up. I ended up canceling my current, guess I will wait until my subscription runs out and will rejoin or make a new email to log in with to use my vault membership. Oops.

In my field of interests, we call this early adopter syndrome ;) New startups is always buggy.

@Barbara Buschiazzo I’m in the same situation as you. I got that message from tidal last night, but was lucky enough to get a hold on someone at TMR, who told me that tidal support was wrong. So now I’m just waiting for them to clear things up. It will all be sorted in the end, I’m sure. I personally think the “weirdos” at tidal mistaking our voucher with a promotional voucher, like the vouchers they are handing out at events in those three countries, to get people to sign up. And for some reason they don’t have the appropriate information at hand, or they don’t read it, since some people are still being told it will only last two months, which we know is wrong.

Kali Durga

It’s not a tragic or comical anything, it’s a new company that didn’t work out all the kinks before rolling everything out. Shame on them for that, but TMR is apparently working with them to get things straightened out. Let go of the drama and find something else to do for a little while until it’s fixed.

Barbara Buschiazzo

@Zarillion Are they kidding? or what? ( I mean those weirdos at Tidal ) This is a tragic-comic tease. Someone or God have to take my code and make it work. Pizza&spaghetti aren’t good enough? I don’t think so

To quote the TMR staff(since its drowned in here): “Hey all, This was, in fact, a communication error within TIDAL’s customer service. Nothing is going to change. The $5 TIDAL subscription will be available for Vault members indefinitely. Let’s be honest here — TIDAL is a new project, and the Vault is still blowing our minds with what we can do with it. Our end-goal here is to integrate two services that have their own operating systems in place and that is not going to come without some bugs. But we wanted to be able to offer members this new facet of the Vault subscription as quickly as possible. We do it for you guys! Thank you for your patience and understanding while these bugs are de-loused, and accept this apology for the inconvenience”

Zarilion

@Brian Bankes That is wrong. Other people have gotten that message as well. Reply and challenge that statement, and ask them to do some research in to the matter. “This 75% discount on TIDAL HiFi subscriptions remains in effect in perpetuity, for as long as a Vault member’s subscription remains active and uninterrupted.” Sorry for acting like support, but when I know the answer, why not help out?

Brian Bankes

I just received an email from Tidal saying that the 5$/ month is only good for 2 months then it goes back up to 20$.
