The Third Man Records Vault Subscription Service, responsible for the quarterly packages of limited edition vinyl records you all know and love and exclusive merchandise as well as the inside scoop on Third Man goings on and concert pre-sales, is proud to announce a new perk for its members. All Third Man Records Platinum Vault members already pay $60 (US) per quarter for their subscriptions to the Vault. Beginning today all Platinum Vault members (new and existing) are eligible to ALSO have TIDAL HiFi subscriptions (normally $19.99/month) for only an additional $5/month (totaling of $65/quarter (US) for your Vault subscription and unlimited access to high quality streams). This 75% discount on TIDAL HiFi subscriptions remains in effect in perpetuity, for as long as a Vault member's subscription remains active and uninterrupted. TIDAL, an artist-owned and artist-friendly streaming service, has two tiers of subscriptions: a standard quality $9.99/month version (TIDAL Premium), and the high-fidelity, CD-quality, lossless audio $19.99 version (TIDAL HiFi) we are offering to Platinum Vault members at 75% off, as well as exclusive content and access to intimate live shows around the world.
Vault members can access their promo code to unlock this discount in their Third Man Store Account Dashboard, and should proceed to http://tidal.com/ and "REDEEM VOUCHER" to enter their code. The discount will remain in effect for as long as the Vault member's subscription is continuously active, but please note, this is a ONE TIME discount. Once a Vault subscription is cancelled, the discount code is with which it is associated will be disabled and cannot be reactivated. Any interruption in Vault membership will result in the irreversible invalidation of the associated coupon. To clarify, if you cancel your subscription on your current e-mail address, your $5 TIDAL subscription then becomes a $20 subscription, and this cannot be reversed.
TIDAL is available via browser and mobile device, using Google Play and the Apple App Store.
Today is a particularly good day to join the Vault + TIDAL Hifi because Jack White's final acoustic performance in Fargo, North Dakota last week, which streamed live on TIDAL and the Vault, has now been archived and is available to stream in its entirety in both locations. To top it off, Jay Z announced on Wednesday that he will be putting on a Special TIDAL X Jaÿ Z B-Sides Concert, which will stream exclusively on TIDAL on May 13th.
Because we are announcing this partnership on the 1st day of a new Vault quarterly cycle (the soon-to-be-announced Vault Package #25), we are allowing new members who sign up this week (before next Friday, May 8th at 5pm CST), to purchase Vault Package #24 in addition to their new membership, an extension of the deadline, of sorts. If you sign up for a Vault Platinum subscription in the next week and are interested in receiving the Loretta Lynn Vault Package, which features a reissue of the Jack White-produced Van Lear Rose 12" LP with a previously unreleased bonus track, a 7" of White Stripes covers of Lynn's classic songs, an exclusive DVD of Lynn and White revisiting the time of Van Lear Rose in conversation and song, and a few extra treats, give our Vault customer service department a call at (615) 891-4393 x315 in the next week to secure your package as an addition to your new subscription.
Got questions about how any of this works? Feel free to e-mail vault@thirdmanrecords.com for answers! Enjoy your unlimited access to great-quality music, dear friends!
UPDATE: PLEASE NOTE, IN YOUR DASHBOARD, YOUR CODE WILL SAY "STATUS-USED." THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOUR CODE HAS ALREADY BEEN USED AT TIDAL. PROCEED TO TIDAL, REDEEM VOUCHER, ENTER THE CODE, AND YOU WILL SEE YOUR SPECIAL PRICE REFLECTED THERE.
HOWEVER, WE ARE EXPERIENCING AN ISSUE WITH CUSTOMERS WHO ALREADY HAVE EXISTING TIDAL SUBSCRIPTIONS, AND WE ARE WORKING ON IT! WE WILL HAVE YOU UP AND RUNNING ASAP...
mina If you already have a tidal account, contact supporttidal.com and they will apply it to your account.
@Barbara Buschiazzo I’ve been told by TMR to disregard that message. “TIDAL and the Vault/TIDAL voucher are both available internationally.” – TMR support.
I got an error when i tried to redeem voucher ?
this is the email I’ve received from Tidal today: At this moment, the Third Man Records Vault voucher IS ONLY BEING OFFERED IN the US,CANADA, GREAT BRITAIN. We WILL BE UNABLE to apply your voucher at this time. We apologize for this INCOVENIENCE, BEST REGARDS.
Am I a vault member like everyone else? Or not? Oooh, right.. Nope. I actually pay 80$, u know.
At work on a quiet Saturday, no phones ringing yet, no boss outside my office door, was all excited to find several albums by Anouar Brahem… but only one song out of all the albums listed that is available for streaming. What’s up with that?
Yes yes yes… but the think that i love most is the cross over to tidal allows me to divest from the military complex which can be found in the parent company matrix of most major label family trees… Thank you again for working to get the spooks out of our happy family…Music is Sacred as Truth is Beauty and Beauty Truth… that be all ye need know!!!
Well I cancelled when I had no reply from Tidal regarding my voucher. Yesterday I got an email to say my account had been reactivated and my voucher applied! They said they’ve got many emails regarding this offer from TMR and are a little busy to say the least. So hang in there they are sorting it…slowly. Thanks TMR I am loving it!!!
@Kali tell me about it I am the high priestess of typos in this joint! And to TMR And everyone else reading this totally loving tidal especially while I am at work. I’ve really put it through the paces searching obscure songs, local artists (they even have both albums by Billy strings and Don Julian that they put out on their own. Which of the se on the last song was recorded in the TMR recording booth), big name artists, etc. The only thing I have figured out not on tidal is the Beatles (guessing there is an iTunes only contract there.), also seems some of the songs don’t fade out like I am used to though I have the fade feature turned on slightly. Also a tip to New tidal users It is not auto set on hifi. You need to go into menu and settings to turn on the hifi for the best sound. So thanks Mr. White, I told you maybe you could change my mind about streaming and you have.
Thank you! Thank you to thirdman, tidal, and jack |||. As a member of the vault, I was always a happy camper receiving a treasure trove of treats very 3 months. Now daily I can enjoy an even bigger musical world than I could have ever imagined. The quality of service and sound is spectacular. Thank you for giving this great gift of a highly discounted service to the third world! Cheers
Thats incorrect yes. The voucher are to last as long as you maintain your subscription, according to TMR, and many of the people that has commented below :)
