RECORD STORE DAY AT THIRD MAN RECORDS: JACK WHITE & THIRD MAN RECORDS PRESENT…
T H E W O R L D ’ S F A S T E S T R E L E A S E D R E C O R D
LIMITED EDITION “LAZARETTO” SINGLE TO BE RECORDED LIVE, PRESSED & RELEASED APRIL 19 FOR RECORD STORE DAY
On April 19th, Record Store Day, Third Man Records will present Jack White recording the World’s Fastest Released Record, studio-to-store, in the history of mankind.
You heard correctly. First thing in the morning, Jack White will take the stage in Third Man's blue room and record direct-to-acetate what will serve as the limited edition version of his next single, a live rendition of the title track from his upcoming LP Lazaretto. The masters will be rushed over to United Record Pressing who will immediately begin pressing 45s. The sleeves will be printed from pictures taken at the show. The finished records will be whisked back to Third Man to sell to awaiting fans. All in the same day. All in a matter of mere hours. As long as there are fans in line waiting to buy the single, United will continue to press and deliver them to Third Man to sell. Even if it takes all day.
In addition, Whirlwind Heat will appear at Third Man to play their first live show since 2006 (and likely their last ever), as their TMR classic Do Rabbits Wonder? LP is reissued on a variety of colored vinyl for Record Store Day.
Plus a great selection of local vendors will be on hand to keep everyone well-fed and refreshed… and there will, as always, be some surprises.
Tickets for this whole day —“Ultra Tickets” — are extremely limited and will be available exclusively through The Third Man Records Vault to Platinum Members. Ultra Ticket holders will get to watch Jack White live recording his World’s Fastest Record, Whirlwind Heat’s afternoon performance, and will receive copies of both The World’s Fastest Record 7” and the Whirlwind Heat Record Store Day LP release — all without having to wait in line! Vault Platinum members who are ticket holders need only show up, see Jack White play, hang out for a bit and eat, watch Whirlwind Heat (last show EVER??) and then, as they leave, pick up their bag with both RSD releases. No lines. No stress.
For those who can’t score tickets, The World’s Fastest Record will be made available for sale from the front of Third Man Records as soon as copies are pressed. Anybody who shows up that day during business hours wanting to purchase a copy will get one. Third Man promises to deliver until all customers are satisfied (one per customer, obviously!). The World’s Fastest Record will only be available at Third Man Records on Record Store Day. One time only!
Ultra Tickets for Record Store Day will be available via The Vault Pre-Sale ticket store at 3pm CT today, Thursday, April 3rd. JUST A GOLD SUBSCRIBER? SIGN UP FOR A PLATINUM MEMBERSHIP HERE.

Hella Event!
+1 for vault stream guys and gals of TMR
Daniel Thompson…one more little ditty for ya: If you and your friends get into Nashville on Friday evening you may have time to drop into the world famous Station Inn (located on 12th Ave. S in the Gulch area of downtown Nashville and only about 1/2 mile from TMR). Two of my favorite and multi-award winning musicians, Guthrie Trapp on guitar (actually, in absolutely all seriousness, Jack White could even take lessons from this guy) and Mike Bubb on bass, will be playing that night at the Station Inn = a place where lots of well known successful songwriters and recording artists like hang out. Check out the calendar at www.stationinn.com . The Brendan Benson produced band, The Howling Brothers, are known to play at the Station Inn.
I found a ticket:

Obviously a flipper that dabbles in tickets. Shame on you if you buy from this guy. Can somebody at TMR discourage him from being a parasitic sociopath?
Hi GUYS , Gutted can"t make it too Nashville on the day , Can you throw a bone to us international Platinum vault members here in the UK as a bonus for RSD 2014
Daniel Thompson, Check out TMR’s friends over at Grimey’s Record Store at http://grimeys.com and see their Record Store Day events. Every year they have a whole day of events too, to include “live” performances all day long in their back lot = FREE/ALL AGES/OPEN TO PUBLIC. Since you can’t get into TMR’s “live” show you could divide your time between visiting TMR and Grimey’s for shows by Needtobreathe, Promised Land Sound, Ranch Ghost, Bully, Pujol and more. TMR is located at 623 7th Ave. South and Grimey’s is located at 1604 8th Ave. S. Checking www.google.com/maps you will find that there is only 1.2 miles between the two record stores and it is only a 3 minute drive, or a distance of 1.1 miles if walking which would only take 24 minutes and you can see a lot of stuff along the way. I’ve been to both places on Record Store Day. It makes for a lot of fun.
I get off my arse and visit my local record stores and flea markets (for second hand records) on a regular basis. This TMR RSD 2014 is just super exceptional and worthwhile and worth the extra mile if it could have been a possibility. That’s all. The jonesing does not imply exclusion of alternate action on anyone’s part, no doubt.
Can you order the record online or is it only in-store?
I’m super BUMMED out!! We are coming to Nashville for RSD from Houston Tx. and my friends from wis are meeting us there. I was not able to get ay ULTRA RARE TICKETS for the days event? Any help out there? Dano from Houston
Thanks TMR for making this 18+! (sigh..)
