Hi all,
Just a quick note to clarify our intention with the pre-sale tickets on the Vault Pre-Sales page. These tickets are meant for members who are on the Vault for the same reasons that we hope all fans and followers are so dedicated to Third Man: for sincere and genuine interest in Third Man artists and releases, vinyl, historic recordings and reissues, art, film, literature, challenging normalcy in the antiquated music industry, analog recording, high-quality collectible products, etc. An intention that is not encouraged (and, in fact, not tolerated) is turning a profit off of our members' genuine interests in such creative works.
Although it would be impossible for us to filter members by intention upon purchasing a product, it becomes pretty clear on the secondhand market whose intentions are less than honorable. If and when a break in this policy occurs, really for any offer extended to Vault members, the Vault member(s) and any outstanding store orders will immediately be canceled from the Vault and membership will be revoked.
We hate to be so strict about this policy but feel that it is our responsibility to stick up for the members who have been so loyal, supportive and kind over the years since this whole crazy experiment began. Hope to have you all on board for years to come.

Vault Ticketing Policy Note
PEACE AND LOVE
Great news TMR! This policy is sooooo awesome. I spent 40 minutes at work reloading the RSD ticket page. I wanted it so bad. It just really sucks to see these tickets show up on ebay and stuff for $500-$1000 from people who’s only intention is to exploit our REAL interest in a fun day. So to put it bluntly, fuck those guys. Being from GRAND RAPIDS, MI I was really hoping to catch Whirlwind Heat at flippin TMR (and see Jack too!) but to no avail…I am excited that I did, in fact, get a ticket to see Jack in Detroit, but no trip to Nashville next weekend as I had been planning. Everyone who actually got a ticket to go to Record store day, I hope its unbelievable! Have a great time!
This is my third post… Usually I’m a quiet person but…
Cinci and Tamora, you guys are the best! Hope ya’ll have more fun in the future and don’t be a stranger. Being a stranger is dead, lol!
And I think I have a solution that may work for seating venues. This method is called individual and group seating. A individual package consist of one or two tickets and should be priced accordingly! Whereas, a group package should consist of three or four tickets and should be priced accordingly.) While a person purchase there tickets they should also include the name and addresses of the people going with them. This way, the people buying tickets can be verified. If the show is played in a theater, sections or rows can be split in half so people who purchase individual seats can have the same seating options as those who purchase group tickets. For example, individual package who purchase tickets for front row can sit on one side of the theater while those who purchase group seating can sit in front row on the other side. Same goes for pit and balcony. If the concert is in a hall or ballroom, (which I prefer because I have a difficult time staying seated and might be distracting if I dance and drum in my chair) this method would be null/void. You can take as many people as you like. Let me know if this works.
Quizze, thanks for bringing strange internet behavior to our attention. To those who are being affected, I just want to let you know how cool and awesome you are. You matter, It shows more than what you know (it can be seen and sometimes envied) To clarify, I’m don’t do this, but I read the Q&A on here and was surprised by the harassment question. There should be no bystanders and call attention to it. When reported stand up and be a witness. My hometown is doing an amazing job on harassment awareness and prevention.
I was talking to Ms. Garcia the other day about how to handle this. She has an amazing story and one of the coolest people I talked to. I loved the convo about the ballroom and fun on road trips.
Daniel D, I’m sorry but tickets or any other products should not wind up on ebay. That’s just plain wrong… Plus TMR does international sales and from what I hear, they do a great job at it!
After being completely shut out of the Blunderbuss tour, I am SO down with this policy! And CINCI, I agree with you. I buy one ticket for myself, and seem to have more fun that way.
See you guys and gals on the tour! Thanks TMR!!!
There’s one for a grand on eBay now, plus 20 more to ship. Awesome. How about free shipping and you are still coming out ok, and have one less eBay fee.
I gotta say. For those who sell on the secondhand market, Jack, get over it. Welcome to supply and demand. It’s basic supply and demand. It frustrates me that you continue to get so vocal about this, despite the fact that third man has sold stuff on ebay for crazy gain itself. Its bullshit. I have gone to the store for RSD and sold product in the past, keeping one for myself and selling others to help pay for the gas and hotel for the trip. There is nothing wrong with that. If you have a problem with the free market, move to China. We all love your music, and flippers make it available to people over seas. Stop bitching about it, especially considering you are just as guilty of turning high value records for more than they are worth on sale sites.
My apologies for the lack of format on the last part of my previous message… it is a list associated with each hack method and has a discussion group associated with eac of those links which did not transfer on this message format….. you can access each of those links here… http://ghh.sourceforge.net/ ….. no one deserves to be hacked because they are a loyal music fan…. no one deserves harrassment …. we are a community because we care for one another and if someone wants to pretend that you are less than them or as if your humanity is to be denied then let them know that you matter in the most caring way possible… I am here to tell you that your choices do matter… peace out
I wrote a long response to this mentioning industry gratuity and unquestionable third man integrity…. it got erased… let me just get down to the discussion of digital viability… someone is creating memberships on a computer as a database which are bot generated nuisances. This is my opinion… real people that someone knows have programs that roll through log on for the sake of buy up and sell up …. there are real ‘fans’ who create the inflationary mark up… they do not visit too much with us here but they make bots as random generated chatters and have a host of memberships like small hives of buying units…. Bankers got caught robosigning foreclosures on homes without verifying that it was legal so you know programs exist relative robot signature and digital purchasing and approval of access to funds ……. Luckily there are some good people who created honeypots that track these parasitic hacking agents using unfair advantages
…. go read HOW to PROTECT YOURSELF from HTTP ATTACK http://www.honeynet.org/node/33 …… there is big money in this deception and buying from them keeps our community here in a state of agitation when they feel threatened ……. Know your digital enemies….

PS#2: I have gone to quite a few shows with family but everyone in my family isn’t into doing the same things I like to do so they have complained a bit when I have dragged them along with me. So from now on I go it alone and it is the little break I need from all the responsibilities from taking care of a family.
PS: Also, the best thing about buying one ticket at a time is that I usually can get a great seat for any show I want to go to.
