During a quick break in Vault assembling, we came across an article from December 2015 that slipped past us. It's a ranked list of every Vault package up to #25:
"If you enjoy vinyl, then at some point you have probably seen some of the forward progression that Jack White and Third Man Records have done over the last several years to help propel the resurgence of wax in everyone’s home.
The vault subscription service was launched in 2009 and is definitely part of that movement. Once a quarter, platinum subscribers receive a package in the mail that contains a Vault LP, a Vault 7″, and a Vault Novelty. The Novelty varies from quarter to quarter and has included t-shirts, posters, concert DVDs, and many more unique items.
Given that we enjoy both White and vinyl, TFN thought it was a great idea to take a look at the last 25 offerings and rank them. So without any more discussion we present the Third Man Records Vault Packages – Ranked!"
We now know what The Fire Note thinks about past packages, so the question is: what are your top Vaults?
I missed vault #1 , if TMR re-press for vault subscriber it would be wonderful!
Once I get the full listen the I can decide if the Unknown States#28 is better than £azaretto Vault… The DVD is likely gonna take Vault#28 to the top!
Its official… Vault 28 is in my top 2 of favorite Vaults!!!!
I’d say. 8. 13,14 and 20.
Closely behind 22 and 25
One day I’ll be able to say 1 but since I don’t own it yet, I won’t
Can I say #27? New old JW stuff #gold .. Yes I can see into the future
I started my vault packages with # 9 and have loved every one since then !! now i need to collect the first 8 packages it may take some time and money but it will be well worth it !! Thanks Jack White and TMR . you all Groove !!
my top 5 would be: 1. Vault 8 (Live in Mississippi) 2. Vault 16 (Nine Miles) 3. Vault 14 (JW Live at TMR) 4. Vault 23 (Amazonian lights) 5. Vault 13 (Gold Dollar)
These are my faves, but I love each and every since the day I subscribed.
22 Bonnaroo for me hands down. Amazing performance and setlist, the triple vinyl and blue marble color is brilliant. Plus the DVD and the USB, the USB was super cool. After that Lazaretto #20. Beautiful vinyl and the hardcover book was special, particularly the music notation. Just all such amazing packages though, havent been let down yet!
