Top Vault Package?

Top Vault Package?

During a quick break in Vault assembling, we came across an article from December 2015 that slipped past us. It's a ranked list of every Vault package up to #25:

"If you enjoy vinyl, then at some point you have probably seen some of the forward progression that Jack White and Third Man Records have done over the last several years to help propel the resurgence of wax in everyone’s home.

The vault subscription service was launched in 2009 and is definitely part of that movement. Once a quarter, platinum subscribers receive a package in the mail that contains a Vault LP, a Vault 7″, and a Vault Novelty. The Novelty varies from quarter to quarter and has included t-shirts, posters, concert DVDs, and many more unique items.

Given that we enjoy both White and vinyl, TFN thought it was a great idea to take a look at the last 25 offerings and rank them. So without any more discussion we present the Third Man Records Vault Packages – Ranked!"

We now know what The Fire Note thinks about past packages, so the question is: what are your top Vaults?

My favourite is vault #8 because it was my first one and the white stripes last show! I appreciate all the effort that goes into each vault package!

I cant just choose one. I keep looking at the one’s I missed out on, so those would be my favorites as I do not have them, but want.

Vault 1 it started it all, Anything White Stripes gets my attention straight away.

Allow me to retort. The ‘Boscobel Blues’ LP is VERY essential. Puts the ‘raw’ in rawk.

Most certainly my favorite is #22 Live From Bonnaroo 2014. The box is constructed well with great material to start. Nothing cheap about it! The dimensions and art on the cover with the T.V. stands out of the box. The trifecta of colors of Black, Blue and White vinyl that are sleeved separately from the matching color sleeves is a very nice gesture for folks like me who sleeve there stuff in generic sleeves to keep everything in tact. Four 8×10 B/W prints and as well as a tribute to Ikey (RIP) to boot! There is a nice remembrance baseball card in reference to the tour.Third man logo patch, 12×12 litho, Thirdman logo statuette and DVD of full performance. Positively the very most generous, well thought, wonderful long listening vault offered since I became a member. I truly enjoy this package and is a diamond in my collection for sure. Thanks TMR!

Live In Mississippi might be number 1 for me, the emotion contained in that lp is so intense. Love #6 The Greenhornes because it was such a departure from what we expected and yet still fit because of Jack’s explanation for it, and because I wear the hell out of that t-shirt. #13 Live at the Gold Dollar Vol. 1 & 2 and #15 Jack & The Bricks because they were the first to take us back in time to vicariously experience the early days, and gave an indication of the depths of potential Vault material. Also cherish the heck out of the Lazaretto lyric book in #20 and the Jack’n’Loretta Love-Fest dvd in #24. You didn’t tell us to narrow this down to a specific number of favorites, did you…?

I’d have to agree that vault 8 “Live in Mississippi” is something special.
