Third Man Records is so pleased to announce that the day we have all been waiting for has finally arrived. In honor of the ten year anniversary of The White Stripes' Get Behind Me Satan, Record Store Day 2015 will mark the release of the first ever commercially available version of the pivotal record on vinyl. This 180-gram double LP features disc one pressed on red vinyl with disc two pressed on white vinyl and includes a full-size, 12” x 12”, gatefold lenticular jacket. Newly-created inner artwork reprising themes of the original promo-only version of the Satan LP will be exclusive to this release, and an MP3 download code will be included.
This limited and exclusive pressing of Get Behind Me Satan will be available at participating record stores as well as Third Man Records only on Record Store Day, April 18th, 2015, with a non-exclusive, standard-artwork, black vinyl release to come later this year.

Konchok3 . . .since some of us live thousands of miles from the brick and mortar store, and like me, live in a small town where the only place to get an actual album is walmart, I do not think is a throwing tantrum in wishing that it was possible for the special edition of the album to be available to vault members and shipped around the world.
Excited for this!!! Sucks I can’t make it to Nashville this year. Hope my local RS (which is an hour away!) will have some copies of GBMS!!! *FINGERS*CROSSED*

oh dear. can’t read those complains from vaulters. It will be released in regular black version later this year. So, yeah, you can have it anywhere and without a problem. If you want RSD release take your arse to the brick and mortar independent store – that’s the whole point of the Record Store Day. To come to the s-t-o-r-e and buy it. Yes, flippers. Yes, it might end up just before you. But later on if you are that unlucky you can buy it on eBay, if you really really really need it. Just like those pins for $50 hahaha. Otherwise, wait to the regular release later. Seriously. No need to throw tantrums, we are spoilt enough with all these vault packages, can’t get more exclusive. Record Store Day is for field trip to the store.
