THIRD MAN RECORDS PRESENTS FIRST COMMERCIAL VINYL RELEASE OF PIVOTAL WHITE STRIPES' ALBUM FOR RECORD STORE DAY 2015

Third Man Records is so pleased to announce that the day we have all been waiting for has finally arrived. In honor of the ten year anniversary of The White Stripes' Get Behind Me Satan, Record Store Day 2015 will mark the release of the first ever commercially available version of the pivotal record on vinyl. This 180-gram double LP features disc one pressed on red vinyl with disc two pressed on white vinyl and includes a full-size, 12” x 12”, gatefold lenticular jacket. Newly-created inner artwork reprising themes of the original promo-only version of the Satan LP will be exclusive to this release, and an MP3 download code will be included.

This limited and exclusive pressing of Get Behind Me Satan will be available at participating record stores as well as Third Man Records only on Record Store Day, April 18th, 2015, with a non-exclusive, standard-artwork, black vinyl release to come later this year.

A running order exclusive to the vinyl format will be as follows:

Side A:
Blue Orchid
The Nurse
My Doorbell

Side B:
Forever For Her (is Over For Me)
As Ugly As I Seem
The Denial Twist
White Moon

Side C:
Instinct Blues
Passive Manipulation
Take, Take, Take

Side D:
Little Ghost
Red Rain
I’m Lonely (But I Ain’t That Lonely Yet)

Stay tuned for more information regarding Record Store Day in the coming weeks...!

Got it — I just got a little excited for some of the people upset. Thanks for clarifying.

@Ted Fisher: check out the article above. It states, and has always stated “This limited and exclusive pressing of Get Behind Me Satan will be available at participating record stores as well as Third Man Records only on Record Store Day, April 18th, 2015, with a non-exclusive, standard-artwork, black vinyl release to come later this year.”

I think people here are more concerned about getting the RSD-specific release. Nobody’s saying they’ll never get a copy on vinyl if they miss it.

I’d like to quell the fear about not getting your hands on GBMS — it appears that different releases are categorized based on how limited the release is. GBMS is a “Record Store Day First” release, which means it will be available after RSD if your shop runs out. Looks like Jack is making up for disappointing some fans with the Elephant release a couple years back.

Dunksaroo

well looks like i’ll be pulling an all nighter again for RSD. Though thankfully this is the only record I WANT this year.

Right, some of us don’t live in Nashville. How do we get a copy of this? It should be available for vault members.

I would love it if you would consider making the exclusive record store day records available to Vault members via the web. I want this so bad….I will still go to a record store on record store day…the same thing happened with Elephant two years ago….but, on the upside…it is awesome! Congrats to all the lucky people who get that one.

I mean, there’s just one local store in Madrid for RSD and no chance to get it :(

I’m very interested in getting Get me behing Satan record store day edition so would it be possible to get one for me? I can make the payment in advance through Paypal (Shipment included of course!). I live in Madrid so it’s quite impossible to make it that day. Thank you very much!

Even though i spent hours in the line 2 years ago i couldn’ t get elephant as well. I’m still missing it and hoping one day I’ll get it for close to reasonable price. I also hope maybe this year I’ll be more lucky ;)
