"Green River" - CCR
"Dedicated to the One I Love" - The Temprees
For those of you with the guts to stop traffic and slow dance w/ yuor Special One while the light changes, this is the "Marquee Moon" of 1970s R&B from Memphis.
"I'll Bet You" - Funkadelic
For those of you who've "been meaning" to "get into" funk music, perhaps this will make uuu feel groovy idk!!!!!! Ha ha
Todd V. -- "For the Love of You (Parts 1 and 2)" - Isley Brothers
Bonnie Dee -- "Fade into You" - Mazzy Star
"Regular John" - Queens of the Stone Age
Jamie G. -- "Love Twins" - Diana Ross & Marvin Gaye
Yes, they did an album together and you better believe it WILL set the mood. This song has a killer bass line and when Diana Ross shouts out "I want a lover, not a friend!"…the whole world stops. Believe that.
I want to give props to Eric Carmen for laying down the track, "Hungry Eyes" cause it's kind of a jam…and keeping with that Dirty Dancing nostalgia I hold so dear, there is a song on the soundtrack that introduced me to the meaning of sexy...
"In The Still Of The Night" - The Five Satins
This song has all the essential ingredients for a stellar make out party. Enjoy your evening folks…
Ian B. -- "Virtual Insanity" - Jamiroquai
This song rules. Rollin round town windows open feelin sexy as hell.

"Up In Her Room" - The Seeds
LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL
Jenna Kay -- "Fade Into You" - Mazzy Star
"Shook Me All Night Long" - AC/DC
Ben Blackwell -- "Summer Madness" - Kool and the Gang
There's a bit of a disconnect in my head between "song that makes me feel sexy" and "song that I think is sexy" as the longer I've thought about it, I'm not sure a song has ever made me feel sexy. Hell, I'm not sure if I've ever felt sexy at all. I guess my thought of sexiness has always been attached to other people's reactions to me. I've never had that "I look gooood!" feeling looking into a mirror. Regardless, this song oozes…from the laid back rhythm section juxtaposed with the crescendoing synth curls…well, this manifests some representation of sexy.
Ryon N. -- "The Spy" - The Doors
"Back Door Man" - Willie Dixon
Trent T. -- "Roche" - Sebastien Tellier
"There is Nowhere" - Blackbird Blackbird
"Ai Du" - Ali Farka Touré
Sexy=Beats to me…slow and rolling. My first 2 picks are definitely in that world. The Ali Farka Touré song is in a class of sexy all in it’s own, with it’s his voice over the crying strings and finger picking guitar.
Chloe C. --
My favorite is a toss-up between "I Want a Little Sugar in My Bowl" and "Do I Move You," both by Nina Simone. Sugar's compelling because it's slightly more suggestive and I find its mix of desperation and directness really charming (oh, and because it's Nina Simone...), but Move You's the kind you play after one too
many whiskies when ya' just wanna' get the point across.
As for the latter, I'm hard-pressed to think of anything someone else could slyly spin to get me in the mood that wouldn't just make me blush. If, however, they had the gusto and good humor to put on "Debra" by Beck, well, I wouldn't hate that at all.
@Tamora your two picks were on my list too. (Ball and Biscuit and Wicked Game) Ball and Biscuit is totally a no brainer. It ranked number 23 on the sexiest songs of all time list. And apparently some magazine or radio station has a list of Jack White Songs “To get you in the mood” on that list besides “Ball and Biscuit” was “Love Interuption”, “A Martyr for My Love For You”,“Two Against One”, “Fell In Love With A Girl”, “Blue Veins” and “I Cut Like A Buffalo”. Apparently there are a lot of people who think Jack White is one sexy guy. I would agree. :D :)
I sense Swank has a theme going here…
I’ve been on a Donny Hathaway kick lately, so let’s throw I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know on the list, too.
TMR has started something here for me. I can’t stop searching www.youtube.com for all the versions of ‘Love Reign O’er Me’ that I can watch and listen to. The “live” versions are reminding me of seeing Roger Daltry performing solo at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. I think the whole audience was singing along on “Teenage Wasteland” (not sure if that is the title). Great memories!
And of course Ball -n-Biscuit. That’s a no-brainer
Wicked Game-Chris Isaak
Gotta agree with Blackwell on this. Not sure any song actually makes one “feel” sexy, but let’s face it
Jack & Alison singing ‘Cool Water’ is just about the hottest performance I’ve ever seen.
My 2 cents: ‘Love Reign O’er Me’ by The Who. When an unexpected rain falls, it feels like love is in the atmosphere…with the lyrics, “only love can make it rain”.
Midnight Rambler -The Rolling Stones
so many dead weather songs the beats, allisons voice, the darkness, etc, for ex. I can’t hear you, gasoline, The difference between us ( i think my fave but so hard to choose),60 feet tall ohh i could go on. dave matthews band “crash into me” Lenny Kravitz “are you gonna go my way” The cure “Like cockatoos” NIN “physical”,“sanctified”, “ringfinger” ,“kinda i want to”, “sin remix” and how could you leave out “get down make love” there are so many hot songs out there i won’t even go into the white stripes as most cover a lot of them. I agree with many that were listed i just was thinking on some that were not mentioned and for all those out there that said NIN " Closer" if you listen to this version it my change your mind on that forever instead you may be laughing! http://youtu.be/crJ-dSZp52U once you delve into all this guy covers you won’t be able to stop!
