We asked the incredible folks from the Third Man design team to give us some insight behind the aesthetics for Vault package 44. Here's what they told us!

The design of Vault 44 is meant to put Jack White’s favorite art movement, De Stijl, front and center. The three-paneled gatefold features die-cut squares that give the illusion of right angles on the record labels. Each panel is reduced to three concentric squares of red, white, and black in three different combinations.
“If we had our way, we would have made the discs themselves square, but of course, that would be impractical.”
We also worked with Rob Maushund at Stoughton Printing to develop the official White Stripes’ red. It had previously been described as fire engine red, coca-cola red, and the reddest of all reds, but it wasn’t until now that it would have its own formula. This slipcase is custom made in California and is our first presentation of ‘The White Stripes’ Red.

It was this LP that 1st pointed me towards Piet Mondrian. I was fortunate enough to catch an exhibition in Liverpool UK that reconstructed his bedroom! Vault 44 wouldve looked boss on his night stand.
Just curious as to when this is going to ship
@SinCityBob the first 43 have all arrived pretty consistently IMO. they communicate really well. Closed on 4/30, not sure if you are in the US or International. but they do a good job with shipping. they even change the way they ship to ensure the A-B-C last names are not always getting theirs first. Had 1 issue in the first 43 and Third Man promptly took care of the situation. if this is your first vault package your gonna love what you get. I am still amazed at the stuff they come up with !!

still can’t believe this will be my 44th Vault Package. TWS are the reason why I signed up for Vault #1, but since that time Third Man has opened me up to so many other things. Cant wait to see where the Vault goes. Thanks JW and everyone at TMR who puts all of these packages together. @Gary stinks to hear about your situation. Hopefully restrictions are lifted soon and you get all of your parcels really soon! I ordered a record from England, the store owner didn’t seem like it would be a problem to ship it to me. Stay safe people , stay home and spin some vinyl !!!
