We asked the incredible folks from the Third Man design team to give us some insight behind the aesthetics for Vault package 44. Here's what they told us!

The design of Vault 44 is meant to put Jack White’s favorite art movement, De Stijl, front and center. The three-paneled gatefold features die-cut squares that give the illusion of right angles on the record labels. Each panel is reduced to three concentric squares of red, white, and black in three different combinations.
“If we had our way, we would have made the discs themselves square, but of course, that would be impractical.”
We also worked with Rob Maushund at Stoughton Printing to develop the official White Stripes’ red. It had previously been described as fire engine red, coca-cola red, and the reddest of all reds, but it wasn’t until now that it would have its own formula. This slipcase is custom made in California and is our first presentation of ‘The White Stripes’ Red.

I got notification of vault 44 shipping today (UK)
I was told yesterday the tracking number for Vault 44 will be sent out “in the coming days”. I’m not worried about the shipment. I’m worried about the corona virus. I can wait, as long as everyone at Third man recods are safe.
Since I paid for Vault 45 today, I was wondering if #44 has shipped yet? Looking at the commentsection, I’m not alone… Any updates?
anyone knows if vault 44 has been shipped by now? i read we normally get shipping confirmation, so i presume not yet? anyone any idea?

Has Vault Package #44 shipped? I haven’t gotten it yet and see that Package #45 is being advertised.
So looking forward! Here in the UK we hear stories of vinyl in the US being a problem! But we all need something to genuinely look forward to during these times! And also I knew we wouldn’t be let down by Third Man! ???
