Just got tickets for Red Rocks! I REALLY hope since it’s the Vault that the GA is close to the stage and not the way top!
Oh and you will be singing because Jack White will make you. He gives the impression he is staring right through you and you feel obligated to give back what he is giving. It’s a pretty unique experience and worth whatever you may need to put up with.
CINCI speaks truth. I was practically deaf for 2 days. As far as the crowd, it’s a mixed bag. Festivals are different than venues and general admission turns people into animals. I have stood next to 11 year-olds and 60 year-olds at the same shows. Sadly the supposed grown ups/long time fans that tend to be the most disruptive. Not sure why. My best advice and strategy is to make friends and get to know those in the vicinity. Introduce yourself, get names and chat them up. You’ll meet cool people and they will respect you and your space. Works for me. every time.
June 12: watch Jack tomorrow morning: http://kroq.cbslocal.com/show/red-bull-sound-space-live-player/
John Wood bring hearing protection, especially if you are going to try to get up close and personal to the stage…have seen various comments that people’s ears are bleeding (must be hurting and have ringing in their ears) after Jack White concerts. Extremely loud sounds are definitely bad for one’s hearing.
First time Jack White concert goer in August. Can anyone tell me the type of crowd to expect? I want to go to the show and just rock out and enjoy it. I don’t want to have to deal with a drunk ass tripping over everyone singing every lyric in my ear. Don’t get me wrong, I will be singing, but in key at least, and not in someone else’s ear.
Just got tx to Seattle show. Made my day, week, month, etc. Can’t wait! Thanks for not forgetting about us left coasters.
@Keith Jones – you can get them from the pre-sale link above, rather than waiting until Friday.
Leeds uk, November 17th just announced. Tickets on sale this Friday 09:00.
