After many years of performing in a multitude of configurations, Jack White is announcing that he will be taking a break from performing live for a long period of time. To cap off the Lazaretto world tour, and following his pair of headlining performances at Coachella, Jack will embark on a short acoustic tour of the only five states left in the U.S. that he has yet to play. The states these shows are occurring in will be unannounced until the day of each performance. Joining Jack on his jaunt across these locations will be musicians making up an acoustic quartet, including Fats Kaplin, Lillie Mae Rische and Dominic Davis. The shows will be totally acoustic and amplified only with ribbon microphones to the audience as well. These shows will be the very first totally acoustic full concerts Jack has ever done.
Each special acoustic performance will be announced day of show at 8am local time. Tickets for these engagements are priced at $3 per ticket and will be limited to one ticket per person. All tickets will be sold at the venue door starting at 12pm local time on the day of the show – first come, first served and cash only.
Vault members. We would not leave your fate to... well... fate. We will announce show details to you in confidence 1 hour before the general announcement the morning of each show, at 7am local time. In each of the states we visit, we will also set aside 1 ticket for every Vault member whose address on file is within said state. Vault members in each particular state will have up until 1 hour before doors open at each venue to claim their $3 ticket with a photo I.D. and cash. If the ticket goes unclaimed, it will be released to the line.
This timing is strict, our perception of state lines is strict, and the one-per-person rule is strict. Don't go changing your address now in preparation. We know where you really live, and it will be obvious to us if you just happen to be moving across the country or over the state line upon this announcement going live.
We can't wait to see you next week...
@Dan & @Gerald – He has already played CT….that is not one of the final 5.
Don’t leave jack! Does this mean you will be at the store more?!
Yes Gerald I’m from CT too!!! I’m hoping it’s somewhere cool like Toad’s place.
dear jack, happy to have seen you perform 4 times in 4 different configurations in 4 different places. you and your crew always made the travel and expense worth it. i’ll bet there are many projects brewing that the road wouldn’t allow you to get around to. enjoy those creative processes, enjoy your kids, a few meals at home (learn to cook ;) enjoy the trees, birds, stars. hey…think of how you’ll reduce your carbon footprint while off tour and driving a tesla! enjoy your life jack white, it’s the only one you get. we’ll all hope to see you again somewhere down the road. thanks for putting in the hard work it takes to get the music to us. much love sent from nova scotia xxx

Grateful that Jack gets to take this time off to do whatever it is that keeps him happy. Grateful for the opportunities to see him in various forms over the last 13 years. Will be grateful to see him again in the future when he gets back at it. Enjoy your time. I’m a great travel agent if you ever need some recommendations for kick ass family vacations! :)
Dear Jack – Sorry that I live in a state where you’ve played often (Texas) so no chance of a show, but happy that you will have a chance to exercise your creativity and push yourself in new directions, whatever they may be. Everyone deserves a break, and the kids are an added feature. Go be Dad for a long time, and we’ll see you back soon enough. Cheers from Texas!
Stoked about the mystery of it all. Thanks Jack!
Well… Ive been waiting to comment…. SUPER EXCITED for the acknowledgement of the acoustic values in expression on this tour… Its a statement of integrity which i believe fans will find very interesting as it is documented… A subtle addition to the massive accomplishments of Mr. Jack White III in the realm of American Revival of Indigenous sound…. On a more personal note as a sense of both courtesy and propriety when it comes to our esteemed hero of EPIC DISTORTION i am sensing a need for modesty as both practice and pragmatic focus which thrills me as to how the quiet mind finds itself through the quiet return to the creative dialogue unfettered by publicist promotional thought…. I think back to the loving detail of the new york times article which pulled our Jack out of his home and into endless solo bravado to prove that he was every bit the creative genius we admire as third man uphostery technician…. Auditory acoustics engineer… Producer of irreducable moments of genuinely fresh market option in the world of entertainment as films, books, and novelty regalia… But yes… Most of all… VIP Dad with so very much to share and learn from his littlest fans… Cheers to some of my best memories from this incredible year already and THANK YOU for the panoramically wonderful £azaretto Adventure digitally… Collectably…. And… Most Tangibly speaking… Heartfelt Joy …. As i have put forth many times and will again… Improved my live immeasurably in so many ways
I can’t imagine what touring would be like with a family… Must be hard to be apart from your children. You deserve a long break Jack… Thanks for the memories… Thanks for the music…
