JACK WHITE FINAL ACOUSTIC SHOWS

After many years of performing in a multitude of configurations, Jack White is announcing that he will be taking a break from performing live for a long period of time. To cap off the Lazaretto world tour, and following his pair of headlining performances at Coachella, Jack will embark on a short acoustic tour of the only five states left in the U.S. that he has yet to play. The states these shows are occurring in will be unannounced until the day of each performance. Joining Jack on his jaunt across these locations will be musicians making up an acoustic quartet, including Fats Kaplin, Lillie Mae Rische and Dominic Davis. The shows will be totally acoustic and amplified only with ribbon microphones to the audience as well. These shows will be the very first totally acoustic full concerts Jack has ever done.

Each special acoustic performance will be announced day of show at 8am local time. Tickets for these engagements are priced at $3 per ticket and will be limited to one ticket per person. All tickets will be sold at the venue door starting at 12pm local time on the day of the show – first come, first served and cash only.

Vault members. We would not leave your fate to... well... fate. We will announce show details to you in confidence 1 hour before the general announcement the morning of each show, at 7am local time. In each of the states we visit, we will also set aside 1 ticket for every Vault member whose address on file is within said state. Vault members in each particular state will have up until 1 hour before doors open at each venue to claim their $3 ticket with a photo I.D. and cash. If the ticket goes unclaimed, it will be released to the line.

This timing is strict, our perception of state lines is strict, and the one-per-person rule is strict. Don't go changing your address now in preparation. We know where you really live, and it will be obvious to us if you just happen to be moving across the country or over the state line upon this announcement going live.

We can't wait to see you next week...

What a treat for those lucky few to catch Jack in an acoustic set with some other tremendous players. And I think his kids are going to have the coolest, treehouse, ever. Rest until you shake off those road weary blues, and enjoy scratching things off the lists you have been itchin to get to. Thanks for all the great shows this summer. Cant wait to see what creative things are coming.

Connecticut. I really don’t think he’s played here. We are such a small state and are so often overlooked and lumped in with NY or Boston. sigh If I’m wrong then so be it. I will consider myself lucky to have seen him in Milwaukee, Fenway, MSG (and Yale!) Thanks for the memories Jack. Go be creative and shit. <3

Solo shows I have been to. (I’m located in Seattle)

2012
The Gorge, WA
Wamu Theater, WA
Rosegarden, OR (Plus the B Show in a laundry mat earlier that day)

2014
The Fillmore, NC
The Paramount (night 1), WA
The Paramount (night 2), WA
Music Hall, Austin TX (Night 1)
Music Hall, Austin TX (Night 2)

8 shows in all on this solo venture so I’m set. I’ve seen all the band formations, I think every song he’s played of his during his solo year except Carolina Drama and Hip Poor Boy. I will admit that even though I love seeing him live this is a good thing. I get tell by the recent back to back shows that the set’s aren’t changing much and he’s getting a little complaisant and bored. With such a huge catalog you’d think back to back shows in the same city would have very little repeated songs. Another thing my wife reminded me of is the last shows in each 2014 city he told the crowd it would be a long time before he came back…. so this is not a sudden thing, he’s been planing it for a while now I think. Anyway, when he comes back it will be like a hurricane and I’ll be there. I the mean time, I hope he records like a mad man.

@dantheman333 Oh, for sure he’s played here a lot in the past. Originally I thought they meant that Jack would be playing the 5 places he hasn’t played on this tour, not EVER. Now it makes sense why it will be only $3 to see him play in Alaska, or wherever. ;-)

Best of luck to all the Vaulties in the states which will host these shows . . . hope you can make it to the show and represent the rest of us!

@Jason Koffman And, they played Minneapolis 2 nights in a row on the GBMS tour in 2005. Minnesota has gotten way more gigs than some of these other states.
