JACK WHITE FINAL ACOUSTIC SHOWS

JACK WHITE FINAL ACOUSTIC SHOWS

After many years of performing in a multitude of configurations, Jack White is announcing that he will be taking a break from performing live for a long period of time. To cap off the Lazaretto world tour, and following his pair of headlining performances at Coachella, Jack will embark on a short acoustic tour of the only five states left in the U.S. that he has yet to play. The states these shows are occurring in will be unannounced until the day of each performance. Joining Jack on his jaunt across these locations will be musicians making up an acoustic quartet, including Fats Kaplin, Lillie Mae Rische and Dominic Davis. The shows will be totally acoustic and amplified only with ribbon microphones to the audience as well. These shows will be the very first totally acoustic full concerts Jack has ever done.

Each special acoustic performance will be announced day of show at 8am local time. Tickets for these engagements are priced at $3 per ticket and will be limited to one ticket per person. All tickets will be sold at the venue door starting at 12pm local time on the day of the show – first come, first served and cash only.

Vault members. We would not leave your fate to... well... fate. We will announce show details to you in confidence 1 hour before the general announcement the morning of each show, at 7am local time. In each of the states we visit, we will also set aside 1 ticket for every Vault member whose address on file is within said state. Vault members in each particular state will have up until 1 hour before doors open at each venue to claim their $3 ticket with a photo I.D. and cash. If the ticket goes unclaimed, it will be released to the line.

This timing is strict, our perception of state lines is strict, and the one-per-person rule is strict. Don't go changing your address now in preparation. We know where you really live, and it will be obvious to us if you just happen to be moving across the country or over the state line upon this announcement going live.

We can't wait to see you next week...

I should also say: this is probably for the best. After all, we know that Jack doesn’t use ear protection, even when he’s playing live, and the last thing we want is for the poor man to go deaf. How will he make beautiful music then?! (I know Beethoven managed it, but that’s not the point)

Jack is not dying for heaven’s sake…he is living a life! One that he has so passionately shared with his many fans (who I know like me are forever grateful and inspired by him every day!) I can only imagine the sacrifices a creative genius of a musician such as Jack, have to make…willingly so…but at some point you have to stop to live a “regular” life…you know to have something to creatively draw from…to better able to create new material! It makes sense to me! That is not even mentioning his VIP position as a Daddy!! Maybe he wants to focus some energy towards that beautiful job! I for one…can honestly only speak for myself…and I am honestly HAPPY about this news! He isn’t gonna fall off the Earth…he will still be living, creating, doing the MANY things that he needs and wants to do! Its what all of us as human beings are put on this earth to do! I will continue listening to and loving all the music he has already put out there…he is quite prolific as y’all know!! Plus all of his band family now will have some beautiful time to put into their own stuff…which I am really looking forward to hearing! I know this is a REALLY long comment…but I really feel this is a great decision for HIM. Now I just have to start saving my pennies so I can make a trip to Nashville! I have dreams too! Much love to Jack, his musical family, and his family!

This sounds like a great idea; a really intimate experience. Although I’m kinda disappointed that the “world” tour didn’t come to Australia. I’m certainly glad I got to see Jack play during the Blunderbuss tour.

So jealous of all you Americans right now!

Had another read of this. It is very sweet of TMR to reserve tickets for Vault members in the states Jack will be playing in. You guys are very good to the fans!

I am feeling that the fate of “state lines” is going to be challenged for me but hey keeping strong on hope… Maybe during Jack’s break if he feels so inclined, I am sure us vault members would join him in the blue room to listen to him anytime (some day…. I will keep dreaming)….Thanks for some awesome shows over the past year…Enjoy your much needed break JACK.

My momma is from West by God Virginia and I can get there in 5 hours from North Carolina to represent my clan. I got the car gassed up!

Still so sad about this. It seems so “final”. Jack if you read these comments please know how much your live shows mean to your fans. There is no one who can hold a candle to you when it comes to performing live. We will also miss your brilliant music. Without a doubt you are the hardest working man in the music industry and no one deserves a break more than you. But we are praying a long time won’t be that long. Blunderbuss and Lazaretto seemed to be just the beginning of a brilliant solo career and I know the best music from Jack White is yet to come. The world will be a very sad place if we did not get more music from you. Rest well and come back to us soon.

I hope it is not EVER played. Because that would mean KS is in the running. Please TMR gods let it be KS.
