Exclusive Paramount Holiday Bundle

Exclusive Paramount Holiday Bundle

The Holiday spirit has us feeling like spreading the love here at Third Man Records… Spreading the love in the form of extra Paramount goodies! We are offering an Exclusive Holiday Paramount Bundle, which includes a few coveted extras for those whose wonder extends even beyond the Cabinet-of-Wonder!

Beyond The Rise and Fall of Paramount Records, Volume 1, the first bundle extra comes in the form of Third Man's first 78 RPM record, TMR237 "Battle Royale," a duel of sermons between Sister Ernia Mae Cunningham and Reverend H. C. Gatewood, D.D.I.M.R.A. Packaged in vintage, of-the-era card stock sleeves and achieving that proper dull luster that a record in the 1920's would have had, this 78 leaves us unable to decide which fiery "sermon with singing" tips the scale to win the battle, but we look forward to hearing your opinion.

We are also pleased to include Swan Keepsakes from the New York Public Library Paramount Records event held in November, hand-letterpressed by Bryce McCloud at Isle of Printing in Nashville (also responsible for the gorgeous white birch LP folio within the Cabinet-of-Wonder), and a Paramount T-Shirt of your choice (out of the 4 available options).

The first 20 bundles ordered will arrive with a very special extra addition: a Paramount Records Shadowbox. This laser cut standing card is a non-distributed promotional item for the Paramount stem, and will look fantastic in anyone's parlor or record room.

This bundle is available now only while supplies last…

For those of you who haven't yet tumbled into the Paramount rabbit hole, there's some great information coming from Time Magazine and from David Fricke's 5 star review in Mojo Magazine, both available in print now. You can read them here.

I agree with the other comments. I am sorry I bought this when first available, I guess I should have waited. As much as I love it, having the newly added bundle would have been so much nicer.

same as the others – total cost including shipping and customs $630 only to find there was more being offered – I feel pretty bad about this and hope something is done to “help” members who forked out for this set. Got to admit it is a thing of beauty but would be so much better with the extras.

Concur with Mr. Donoho and others. Please make the extras available to paying Vault customers who not only maintain subscriptions, but who have also paid $400 plus tax and possibly shipping on the cabinet (which is fantastic) already.

Tommy Donoho

Seriously. This was not a small purchase. I would hope that you’d allow any of us who have already purchased the cabinet and supported this project to “upgrade” our order to include the rest of the bundle. To make this available after we’ve spent our money is really a bummer. I would have gladly paid the extra for this.

Already got my cabinet..I’d love to buy the extras, TMR please do something about it!

Dang it . . . my wife bought mine for Christmas on Sunday . . . I would have loved for her to have jumped on this today . . . oh well . . .

Hmmmm… If I hadn’t been fortunate enough to attend the NYPL event and receive both the Battle Royale 78 and one of Bryce’s Swan cards, I might find this aggravating. Especially since I bought two of the t-shirts at the same time that I bought my set on the day it was released, and just ordered another set as a gift this past Saturday. But, seeing as how I work in retail, I understand how this sort of thing works. It’s definitely a terrific deal for anyone who was still on the fence. Thank you for the scans from Time and Mojo, it’s wonderful to see this getting so much press. Can’t help but be curious what some of those old Paramount artists, such as Mr. Stovepipe, would think of the attention they’re suddenly getting. “This is not a box set. It is symmetry”. Indeed.

Wow!!! So many things I want from Third Man for Christmas – my credit card is begging for mercy! LOL!!! This set is at the top of my list. I got a letter pressed card from Bryce at the NYCL talk. Listening to him explain the process truly made me appreciate the artistry that went into creating this set. I’m going to have to take on a second and third job to afford everything I want from Third Man.

Already purchased the cabinet, and love it .. But would love the chance to get these extras.

I agree with the previous 2 comments. No doubt, who could’ve seen this coming?
