All weed did for me was create exactly what Jack described as sort of a cloud or haze. It made me hungry, tired and quiet. Everyone’s different but it’s not for me. Now… red blends of wine and Cohiba Clubs… those are my choice of poisons. (P.S. In our current Three Dimensions, on the Third Planet from the Sun, we are seriously over populated because I hear that “three’s a crowd” (no matter how much the Triad gets along) but if we mess up this planet we have at least two more tries because (you know what they say) “third time’s a charm!” or.. is it… “three strike’s, you’re out!”? Meh… who knows… maybe the secrets hide in The Holy Trinity, Triketras and Triskeles of our Past, Present and Future.) *

Jack is the epitome of vintage elegance down to his wingtip oxford brogues with a hint of rock & roll in the pegged pants. His beloved facial expressions..answering Uncle Dan’s familiar questions like the Same Boy We’ve Always Known..and some new ones, but always thoughtfully and polite to a fault! ……And then there’s the Onstage Jack, all rock & roll attitude, as he described it to Dan! White lightning conducting electrically charged musical MAYHEM FROM ON HIGH :-D Bantering jokes and justifiable barbs (heres looking at you JAN & rolling stone.com)…Good Lord!! The histrionics from the easily-offended, and the gloating tabloid blogger hacks ready to pounce on every remark and opinion Jack shouts out to his appreciative fans is not unexpected, but still annoying. As is their willy wonka moniker…But I don’t mean to rant…just preachin’ it to the choir as they say in church.

And bless you, Dan Rather, for asking the question I’ve always wanted to ask Jack if I could— What does he think God is.

I haven’t either, Jack. Never seemed worth it, and I can’t handle not always being in control of myself. Thanks for posting these extra clips!

I love his reason for shying away from drugs, that if something’s really intense he knows “it’s really coming from me”. And I love those shoes.

@Stacelings, lol. YESSS. And so impeccably attired as always. I think Dan was a little underdressed… but impressed with the Gentleman Jack. Our Patron Saint of Music Past, Present and Future ( as I’ve been calling Mr White since I first heard High Ball Stepper, stunned into a reverie of worship) :) …always leaves me wanting more…. Talkin about George M. Cohen, Yankee Doodle Dandy…Love it. Yes, as I’ve also been describing him, I was happy to hear Mr Rather call him a Renaissance man.
