Oh… One more thing…. I feel as though the Americana Community is shying away from the vision of Mr. Jack White lll relative to not understanding his eclecticism which retains the value of modernism as it reflects on the American patchwork of blues and reds…. This is how growth and change are often pigeonholed for the sake of ironclad market predictability which does not fit with the vision and inspiration of truly organic values which are our only hope in this 21st century …. We so need to embrace EVOLUTIONARY EMPOWERMENT as a social norm of reason and caution to loosen those pockets of the dark ages holding scientific and progressive communities back like the kings of ole king coal denying the radiant solar truth that shines every color within the moonbeans of Jacks White lights

Thank You for bringing out the best in Dan Rather too Jack…. I think people dont understand your true gift of finding what is good or great in so many lost and forgotten people or processes/ideas of quality… If my great grandmother were alive today you would have brought tears to her eyes… She was a Dan Rather devotee….. No seriously… Stop laughing…. Happy to see you swing that multigenerational crowd like it aint no thing because ~~it dont mean a thing if it aint got that swing!!! Dooowaah dooo wop dooo wop do wah!

Forgive me if this is tacky, but I did a colored pencil drawing of myself drinking coffee with Mr. White at a table that’s actually a giant record. In the drawing, we have insect bodies instead of human bodies. Here’s a link to it on my Facebook page. (Am I allowed to do this?)
Muchas Graciasthirdman! Jack,so in love with your mind!

@Lazydynamite, no worries, I think we all understood what you meant. You wouldn’t be here f you weren’t a fan. :) It really is a sad time, so many people are completely consumed and worried about the wrong things. I’m not going to say I’m 100% guilt free in that, we’re all human. But when I go to a show and all I see are people taking 9000 selfies or see people walking buy a beautiful sculpture outside, I don’t get it. If we can’t get past ourselves or out of our own heads, what’s the point? The world is so much bigger than anyone of us is and I think that gets overlooked and lost in the now now now culture we live in.

That might have came off wrong… I’m huge fan of his music.

This interview really got to me, not for being fan of his music, but for being an artist trying to succeed in this time… with this generation. I was heavily effected by this notion when I went to France and saw people with their backs turned to the Venus De Milo while they took pictures of themselves on their cell phones. This threw me totally off guard… What do people appreciate anymore??? It seemed like they were more interested in themselves then something so beautiful like the Venus De Milo… and I didn’t understand it at all. It really discouraged me… But it’s the times we live in, and we will be forced adapt… and I hope Jack reads some of these comments because I’d like to thank him for sharing something so real in such artificial times.

Great interview. Thank you Third Man for posting it for those of us who do not get AXS TV. It was very much appreciated. Very funny at the end when Dan Rather asks Jack if there is something people don’t know about him or that he would want to get across. Jack’s answer: “That I’m very handsome.” Yes you are Jack and you know it. But ok, we will tell you again, you are one handsome devil Mr. White. Thanks again TMR for posting this.
