Hi all,
Just a quick note to clarify our intention with the pre-sale tickets on the Vault Pre-Sales page. These tickets are meant for members who are on the Vault for the same reasons that we hope all fans and followers are so dedicated to Third Man: for sincere and genuine interest in Third Man artists and releases, vinyl, historic recordings and reissues, art, film, literature, challenging normalcy in the antiquated music industry, analog recording, high-quality collectible products, etc. An intention that is not encouraged (and, in fact, not tolerated) is turning a profit off of our members' genuine interests in such creative works.
Although it would be impossible for us to filter members by intention upon purchasing a product, it becomes pretty clear on the secondhand market whose intentions are less than honorable. If and when a break in this policy occurs, really for any offer extended to Vault members, the Vault member(s) and any outstanding store orders will immediately be canceled from the Vault and membership will be revoked.
We hate to be so strict about this policy but feel that it is our responsibility to stick up for the members who have been so loyal, supportive and kind over the years since this whole crazy experiment began. Hope to have you all on board for years to come.

Vault Ticketing Policy Note
I just signed up for vault for the reason to pre buy tickets just to find out the pre sale was sold out.
@Brad Haswell – not so sure. I think a lot of venues are now seeing the problem with scalping but now added to that they are dealing with the people who are selling counterfeit tickets. (As I mentioned before that actually happened at the Inside Llewyn Davis Concert- there were two very heartbroken Jack fans who got their to learn their tickets weren’t real.) In the case of the PNC Arts Center I actually think it was their policy because I had tickets to a show and it turned out I couldn’t make it. I gave the tickets to my friend and I ended up calling PNC and the manager of ticketing was willing to switch the credit card number on the ticket order to my friend’s credit card number so she could pick up the tickets. When I was on the phone with him he made it seem like it was in fact their policy. He said he realized it was a pain for the few people who maybe in the end couldn’t make the show but he thought overall it was the best policy not to have the fans ripped off. You might be right, maybe in most cases it is and artist issue and maybe in most cases it is done at the artist request. But I think these concert venues are willing to do that now.
@Cathryn I’m not saying it’s not being done, I have experienced it myself, but an artist can’t demand that of every venue they visit unless they are gonna spring for the labor and logistics… scalping is an artist’s issue, not the venue’s… much easier for the venue to just scan you in or rip your ticket
@bradhasswell – no – not true – big venues like the PNC Banks Art Center in New Jersey has done exactly what Dave is talking about. People brought their tickets through a presale and regular sale but you had to pick up the tickets at will call the day of the show and it had to be the person who’s credit card it was to purchase the tickets picking up the tickets. I’m not sure if that was their policy or the band who was playing’s policy but it is being done by a lot of venues for concerts now.
@Dave Sumers that only works if you own the venue, you can’t ask every venue on the tour to do all that extra work and verification…
Having the tix only available thru will-call with the name and credit card used to purchase them is a successful way around this——was really surprised it wasn’t done here.
This is great! TMR is the best :)
Thank you. I sincerely appreciate all you have done now and in the past to help those of us that just want tickets to be there and to see the show do just that. It is hard to believe how hard it is to pay face value anymore…which is fucking ridiculous.
This is fair TMR :-)
Freaking out a little because its been 24 hours and I haven’t got my email confirmation. For my confirmation number at time of purchase, just not the follow up email. Patience is a virtue, my mantra.
