Third Man Records in select Whole Foods Markets

When we think of healthy living, it obviously reminds us of… ourselves! So maybe we don’t eat as much kale salad as we should, but we sure aspire to. It is for this reason that we are so pleased to have our records and turntables on the shelves of a handful of Whole Body at Whole Foods Markets across California and in Brooklyn! Our goal has always been to spread love for vinyl records far and wide, and we are so pleased that Whole Foods shares the same passion. After all, ears, brains, and souls need TLC too, and the best way we know to keep them happy and healthy is by putting a needle to the groove.

Check out our wares in El Segundo, Fairfax, Oxnard, Pasadena, Santa Barbara, Tempe, Tustin, Venice and West Hollywood, as well as Brooklyn’s new Gowanus market/bar/restaurant/hangout/record store/bike repair/coffee shop — yes, really. We hope that the program will expand to additional cities in the future, so next time you’re getting your quinoa & wheatgrass fix, be sure to mention to the clerk that you’d love to see some vinyl in the aisles.

I wasn’t aware of, or heard of the Whole Foods grocery chain, until someone mentioned that there is one in Nashville. Thanks for the location in Nashville Quizze….still have to drop in there. It wouldn’t hurt TMR to put their products in the Nashville store since there are still folks around Nashville that are surprised when I tell them about TMR. Lots of folks still get surprised that Jack White has a place to visit in Nashville and always ask where TMR is located. I just have to tell them TMR is across the street from the Nashville Rescue Mission. It would make sense now for TMR to launch the playable and edible real chocolate record. I’ve been encouraging them to for a while now since I know that by selling a chocolate record lots more folks’ attention will be awakened to the record player again or for the first time. I even found a chocolate making company in Nashville, the Olive & Sinclair Chocolate Company, whose owner is willing to make real playing and edible real chocolate records. I did research online to find out that a chocolate record can be made from a master recording (actually found a video on youtube.com on how to do that). Anyway, it is good to see the yellow and black TMR logo is reaching farther out into new territory so more folks can enjoy the TMR experience. Where will we see the yellow and black TMR logo next? Maybe at Wal-Mart next? I ain’t got anything against Wal-Mart…shop at them around my town all the time since things are economically priced there and there are a lot of good folks that work in them here in my TN town.

Luckily this guy was in such a delirium when he found out that he drove to what he thought was the site of a new Whole Foods at 6th and Lafayette in Nashville to pay his respects and homage…. lucky for us Philly can handle such religious experiences …. http://www.phillymag.com/news/2014/01/28/video-crashing-crown-fried-chicken-man-strips-pleasures/

DanTheMan333 – I get it. you’re funny…or did Mitch Hedberg say that? Btw, I would steer clear of the Black and Blue aisle at whole foods…that food is expired.

“NAKED IN A SUPERMARKET? Oh my God, it wasn’t Whole Foods, was it??”

“And whole foods already has a national chain unlike most record stores.”
Exactly. Unlike an independent record store, or even your individual record seller or independent record store easily accessible online. Whole Foods in Brooklyn vs Academy Record Annex? Co-Op 87 Records? Earwax Records? Human Head Records? No way. But if the demographic fits, I guess people will wear it.

Kali you’re right, we’ll be here ‘til there’s still good music, that’s the important. About the recording booths at gas stations, TMR, I know it’s difficult but you have my vote. Or maybe you can acquire one more recording booth and take it sometimes in the Rolling Record Store (for special ocasions)…just an idea.

TMR record recording booths at gas stations?! Kali, the idea is brilliant!

There’s a brand new whole foods in tulsa. One of Jacks favorite cities. It would be cool to see TMR there! Personally I think it’s a great outlet for their products and once this expands it helps us (like was said previously) who don’t live near Nashville. And whole foods already has a national chain unlike most record stores.
