LIMITED EDITION HATEFUL EIGHT 7" BOXSET

LIMITED EDITION HATEFUL EIGHT 7" BOXSET

Third Man Records presents our limited edition component to the much celebrated (and Golden Globe awarded) Hateful Eight soundtrack, featuring original scoring by Ennio Morricone. Produced in a limited number of 500, and featuring many hand-made and hand-assembled elements, this is one for Third Man and Quentin Tarantino fans alike. Just check this video and see for yourself!

The included LP is two 180-gram LPs w/ all the posters and booklet from the standard edition, but with a different cover featuring our man QT hard at work on the inside fold out... The 18 gauge galvanized steel 7" box features real bullet holes and a laser etched Hateful Eight logo. The box itself contains the score and soundtrack as a 7" set (on blood red vinyl w/ black streaks) inside 8 separate sleeves featuring all members of the Hateful Eight from the film, as well as a metal noose pin and a replica of the film's famed "Lincoln Letter."

We'll have editions for sale in-store only (no online sales) in both our Nashville and Detroit stores on January 25th.

i went and saw it in 70mm in Sydney, Australia. Was looking forward to sticking my program in the sleeve. Anyone wanna grab me a copy and post it on? Will do a record buying favour in future. Hopefully a vault member will help me out, I really don’t wanna pay ebay or discogs prices :(

What day/time will the raffle occur for a free copy of this as mentioned in the Water Drive in Detroit?

Hi
Would anybody be so kind as to pick one of these up for a vault member in germany?
Would of course return favour in any way possible…
Thanks in advance, even for just thinking about it.
Cheers
Mark

TMR continually raises the bar on vinyl “box” sets. Cardboard box? Heck no! “18 gauge galvanized steel box with real bullet holes & laser etched logo” – how can anyone else top that, other than TMR themselves? Awesome!
Will I buy this? No because I don’t live near the stores. If it does ever make it to the vault I probably won’t get it either because our exchange rate sucks. And I’m ok with that. Keep up the good work!

It’d be nice if vault members would have online sales access to in-store only items like this. I love going into the store when I’m in that part of the country but I can’t afford to travel every time something like this comes out (especially if I have to pay for the item on top of the travel cost!). One of the great things about being a vault member is to be able to get amazing records in cities that might not have the best music scenes. With those records we help grow that scene. All of us moving to Nashville or Detroit to have access to these deals seems counter-productive.

I guess some of the people who won’t be able to get this set just like to know that this awesome thing exists, in the same way that it’s cool to look longingly at Alexander McQueen clothes even though you know you’ll never be able to own them. Just another perspective.

I honestly can’t see the point in posting, advertising this on here as its only going to wind up the majority of vault members. just look at all the negative comments. TMR could have just put them in the stores and they would have sold anyway. as I’m from England I don’t stand a chance but I’m not bitter about it, I got the standard version the other day and its an absolute stunning piece anyway so I’m happy with that

@MrJack37 I live in Australia and I managed to get a copy of the standard edition from the Transmission Records website. It won’t ship until late February but that’s much better than never. They’re low on stock now but if you really want it that’s your best bet (they have super cheap international shipping too)

Pretty sure this will never be sold in the Vault store because last thing TMR needs is getting in trouble with international distributors and not following agreed upon contracts. I’m sure they’ll offer this for sale in the Vault store the same day they offer Icky Thump mono pressings…..

For those of you inclined to buy this that don’t live near one of the stores, just remember that the Jay-Z box set that was only sold on the Rolling Record store appeared in the Vault Novelties shop for a time. I’d say wait a while and it will probably pop up there.
