JACK WHITE FINAL ACOUSTIC SHOWS

JACK WHITE FINAL ACOUSTIC SHOWS

After many years of performing in a multitude of configurations, Jack White is announcing that he will be taking a break from performing live for a long period of time. To cap off the Lazaretto world tour, and following his pair of headlining performances at Coachella, Jack will embark on a short acoustic tour of the only five states left in the U.S. that he has yet to play. The states these shows are occurring in will be unannounced until the day of each performance. Joining Jack on his jaunt across these locations will be musicians making up an acoustic quartet, including Fats Kaplin, Lillie Mae Rische and Dominic Davis. The shows will be totally acoustic and amplified only with ribbon microphones to the audience as well. These shows will be the very first totally acoustic full concerts Jack has ever done.

Each special acoustic performance will be announced day of show at 8am local time. Tickets for these engagements are priced at $3 per ticket and will be limited to one ticket per person. All tickets will be sold at the venue door starting at 12pm local time on the day of the show – first come, first served and cash only.

Vault members. We would not leave your fate to... well... fate. We will announce show details to you in confidence 1 hour before the general announcement the morning of each show, at 7am local time. In each of the states we visit, we will also set aside 1 ticket for every Vault member whose address on file is within said state. Vault members in each particular state will have up until 1 hour before doors open at each venue to claim their $3 ticket with a photo I.D. and cash. If the ticket goes unclaimed, it will be released to the line.

This timing is strict, our perception of state lines is strict, and the one-per-person rule is strict. Don't go changing your address now in preparation. We know where you really live, and it will be obvious to us if you just happen to be moving across the country or over the state line upon this announcement going live.

We can't wait to see you next week...

Ooof, I don’t like the sound of a “long break,” but dammit the man has certainly earned it. I’ve been lucky enough to see him about 10 times — in one configuration or another — so I can’t really complain… but, wow, I would LOVE to see one of these “final” acoustic shows. Anyone who scores those golden tickets should count themselves some lucky ducks!

This is one case where I wish these tickets cost at least $100. What an opportunity to see Jack and the band stripped down acoustically before he takes a long break. I’m afraid because of the price, you’re not going to end up with dedicated fans there. Instead just everyone that figured, hey it’s 3 bucks. Why not? How on earth does someone that lives in a state where he’s been to get to experience this monumental thing!? :) :) I guess that’s not the point, but I’m dedicated to his music. :) I will travel the moment you make the announcement. :) How do I make this happen TMR? lol Please, tell me. :) :) PS Congratulations on this decision Jack. We are of course sad to hear this because there’s no other like you on stage, but you have more important places to be and we can’t expect you to give your entire life to us. Especially when you’ve already given us so much of it. I would love to be at one of these shows. As a farewell (for now) for myself as well. Having been to so many of your shows, this would be the icing on the finished cake. I hope somehow God works it out. :) Thank you, thank you, thank you for your love of music and work ethic. :) Cheers. :)

@STL_Ben – thanks… I’ve been fortunate to see him 3 times since Blunderbuss, but acoustic would be epic. Enjoy lucky ones! Can’t wait for some Vault releases on these!

Jack gave an interview at the beginning of the Lazaretto tour for an Irish tv show where he said that he was going to take a very long rest after the tour…. were films mentioned somewhere in that interview? I can’t remember… anyhow have a lovely rest from touring, thank you for the music, for TMR and for everything.

STL_Ben

@thirdson – not RI or Maine….but Vermont is possibly one of the final 5

@Dave Merenda I guess we’ll find out next week (unless we get official confirmation from TMR beforehand). I read it as states he as not played in since going solo. But I could very well be wrong.
