Olivia Jean
Raving Ghost
Oh man, a record release day coupled with tour kick off in the Blue Room is always a special moment in the TMR world. And for it to be with near-and-dear to our hearts family member Olivia Jean? Well that makes it all the more of a celebration.
And OJ's third full-length record at Third Man is her biggest and best yet. I lobbied REALLY hard for the album to open with the song "Spider" (my fave here) and even though I got voted down, I can certify that this album cooks.
So in honor of the big day, I'm giving away a copy of Olivia's "Raving Ghost" album to a user picked from the comments on this thread. Maybe I'll be discerning, maybe it will be random. So no harm in posting multiple times, of being funny, of finding some sort of response thematically tied to the ideas of "raving" or "ghost." Have fun with it. Or don't. I'm not a cop.
Comments need to be posted here no later than Thursday May 11th to be considered for inclusion. Thems the rules.
Rock and roll!
No if or just ofs
Some OJ is a proper start to the day
Love OJ and all things Third Man, got to say “Hi” to her once at a show she was at, my wife was like? Who was that? I just laughed it off…
Wombats poop cubes. #fact
Loved seeing them at the Brooklyn show in February, I was standing very close to Olivia Rodrigo in the audience for most of the night.
Sup
I was so lucky to be at the show where Jack and Olivia got engaged AND married, and this was after (the same day) seeing Jack perform the national anthem at the Tigers’ Opening Day. Man, what a day! I felt like I experienced several of Jack’s biggest life events with him! :)
I read above that this was OJ’s third album and I thought to myself, “I thought OJ was in jail”.
“Hi!” Shouts the ghost excitedly when we moved into our new home. An old woman passed away in there. She was harmless. No one believed me and thought I was raving mad. Until we would take photos… I would look distorted when everyone else would not.
(True Story)
Raves are so retro, but Raving it is…
