Entering Heaven Alive
scum stats: so many versions
Just so happy that this gem is finally out. My fave song here is "A Tree On Fire From Within" with its majestic piano runs having the innate implication of something...big. Important. Impressive.
I'm giving away a copy of the test pressing of the LP here in celebration of the album release.

In the Bible Jesus says ‘The kingdom of God is within you.’ So I guess when we’re born we enter the kingdom. I don’t know if that’s the same as Entering Heaven Alive, but that’s what I’ve always felt. The kingdom, the heavens, are within us and before with us every breath we take in this life. We take it in with the sweet fruit and also with the bitter harvest. We are alive on a living satellite making its journey through the heavens. That’s all I got.
Every day could be like entering heaven if you allowed yourself to realize it.
Come on! What am I a man of the cloth? A fantastical, intoxicating, unabridged, and harrowing moment(s)…A glimpse of Buckaroo Banzai as I cross the 8th dimension…A permanent vacation to the present moment…BLEND all together and gulp it down.
Entering heaven alive means to me….
Going to a place that makes you joyful and happy!
Like when I go to a Jack White concert. Or when I come home and see my wife.
EHA means a new JW album!
As a kid I would have dreams where I had something I really wanted such as the toy or whatever I was fixated on at the time but then I would start realizing it was a dream so I would focus really hard on trying to make it appear out in the real world. Or I would be talking to someone I know and excitedly tell them “this is a dream! we’re dreaming! we have to try really hard to remember this and talk about it tomorrow”
That longing of wanting to be able to do the impossible, to manifest something into the real world from my dreams and defying the boundaries between imagination and the rigid constraints of the physical world is what the title “Entering Heaven Alive” evokes in me.
One would have to find heaven to enter it alive. We talking heaven on earth? Oh baby, do you know what thats worth? I mean, they say in heaven, love comes first. We could make heaven a place on earth…who’s in?

If you are taken in the rapture then you are “entering heaven alive”
Not having to give up earthly pleasures to experience celestial ones
