Just so happy that this gem is finally out. My fave song here is "A Tree On Fire From Within" with its majestic piano runs having the innate implication of something...big. Important. Impressive.

Okay Mr Blackwell I know that I posted what I thought already that it meant. But there’s been this little small discussion about Max Shrek on Facebook and the picture of him in the entering Heaven alive jacket sleeve. And the fact that he was pictured in another photo and that he was the original Nosferatu. So my new Siri about what entering Heaven alive is and fear of the Dawn is that they’re all told from the perspective of a vampire. So I’m re-listening to the albums together and thinking of it in that way if I were a vampire would I say these things would this be how I would feel. I thought this one fear of the Dawn came out but I thought nah that’s just too easy and maybe I like vampires too much. And even if I’m totally off base it’s a fun little mental Journey. “Entering Heaven Alive” clearly means a Metallica song, a Bryan Adams song, & a Pearl Jam song all in one. Kidding of course.
This takes me back to a 10th grade English class I had at LPHS deciphering works of written word. Edna St. Vincent Millay’s poem “Euclid Alone Has Looked On Beauty Bare”, for example.
I still couldn’t tell you what “Entering Heaven Alive” means to me & may never figure it out.
I suppose it is living life fully awake and present in the moment rather than living for a pursuit of things or status.
It feels to me like “entering heaven alive” is finally surrendering and accepting peace and happiness. It’s the moment you stop fighting and stop pushing people away. It’s the moment you let go of all the bullshit this world has created in you and become your free self. 💙
Entering Heaven Alive means you either pulled off some kind of scam or you’re really, really in love.
