BLACKWELL'S RECORD OF THE WEEK

Chris Crown
“I Need Lovin” b/w “Hug Me”

Damn. This one is just straight-up odd.

Listening to it yesterday, from one room over, Swank messages and says “This song is scaring me.”

I agree. I just can’t figure out what in the hell is going on here. Feels like some “Grey Gardens”-type shit. Equal-parts long-con, delusion and “Florence Foster Jenkins”

Attached are pics and the only writing I could find about the release. The rest of the article is a TRIP. Is it illegal for me to share here?

Just…wow.

There’s a copy on eBay right now I will probably bid on just because. And evidence points to even another single “Hello Christmas Tree” and “Santa Song” which I NEED and anyone who finds/has one for trade will be rewarded handsomely.

This record was made in the 1960s…not sure how they were making fun of Meg before she was born….#RambleOn

I’m not sure I would ever suggest a singer look to Yoko Ono for inspiration. This 45 is proof why.

Just picked one of these up…Sorry Blackwell, but I’m copying your style!

i think they are making fun of Meg … very sad Ben Blackwell … youre stooping and TMR is really better than all this crapbag smear campaign

Kali Durga

Did this set the precedent for Yoko Ono?
