Vault Package #19 Shipping!!!
I understand Third Man is very busy and my opinion is that this vault and #20 could be the most popular so this shipping delay should be expected.
What I am very “upset” about is the fact that the majority os us are real fans and we want our records to either collect or play. Meanwhile everyday there is a new Ebay listing for vault #19 and those people should be barred from receiving anymore vault packages. I understand that at some point some of us might part with the records we don’t value anymore and thats fine but these people are flipping products for pure profit while the real fans wait for their records.
Y’all want the “official word”? As of November 2010, this was the “official word” on Vault package delivery, and I quote— "…regarding “vault in the dark” syndrome: we have to wait pretty much to decide on pressing numbers, as every quarter there’s a new crop of sign ups to the vault. to keep it limited and not “guess” at how many members we have, we have to wait a second before we press. the thousands upon thousands (ambiguous enough?) of members makes it a big job to package and mail out all at once (on top of the staggering amount of releases we already have). … we aim to get the shipping down to the quickest as possible. but it’s always aimed to be out the door before the next quarter starts of course. thanks for the patience, i hate waiting for a package too, especially in the dark with the doors locked and you’re told you’re not allowed to leave, and they put a bowl of milk on the floor and you’re supposed to drink it and say “thanks, its delicious.” whatever. jack white III" (I had to keep a copy of that, it still cracks me up.)
zinzarin summed it up nicely in my opinion. How many have they sold?
Sup Wade! I feel your pain man Iam a “w” too! but all in all Iam still excited about #19 and #20! still my only concern is “bad sound”
Boog3r, under normal circumstances, I think your argument would be compelling, but this case is exceptional. The delay experienced here does not appear to be typical: it’s well over a month since shipping commenced, and most people are getting (or soon will be) charged for the next quarterly shipment before even receiving shipping confirmation for this one, all without any update from Third Man.
This would be an appropriate time for someone official to step into this board and say “hey, we know this is taking long, but we are still working on it, and we’re X% done with orders; we expect that everyone will receive shipping notification by XYZ date.”
It’s gone beyond a reasonable delay now. Communication with the customers is in order.
(To mention nothing of the fact that there are many reports of the vinyl not even sounding good….)
A lot of you need to chill out. TMR has had to put up with a lot these past few months especially with all the effort that went into the World’s Fastest Record for RSD. You have to cut these guys some slack if they’re behind on orders right now. I’m sure making these individual record boxes takes a lot of time, which is why not everyone has gotten theirs yet. For $60, you’re getting a lot of great stuff here
P in Rochester, NY. Nothing yet
I do not have grimy little paws =(
R in Pennsylvania. Still no shipping confirmation as of yet.
Hey B in Texas, you should have gotten yours if your first name is B. They are going by first name alphabetically I believe for Vault #19.
B in Texas, no shipping conf. yet, waiting with baited breath…
