Hey folks,
Just wanted to give you a brief update on where we are with shipping the Willie Nelson Vault packages and why we're there. First off, with the guest performances of seven high-profile artists, it's was an absolute Kilimanjaro-height stack of legal contracts, approvals and releases that needed to be precise, to the t, before we could send this off. Through no fault of our own, we didn't have final approval from all the places we needed approval from until the middle of September.
We're sincerely sorry that this release has taken so long to get to you…if only because we're so excited for you all to hear it! The good news is that these will be shipping next week, so the wait is almost over. Also, we're extremely ahead of schedule for the Dead Weather/Raconteurs Vault package #18, so you'll be seeing that gem in record time.
Thanks again for your patience and your patronage. We would be nothing without it.
Sincerely,
Ben Blackwell, Psychedelic Stooge
White Stripes Employee #1 (1997-present)
Received my vault pack#17 and it is all there like they said it would be! Really cool stuff, and I watched the Third Man Special with Willie Nelson on CMT so that tied everything in real nice.
@thirdmanfan3 – I thought that my sticker was missing, but it had straddled the gatefold and so it was stuck and didn’t slide out with the other goodies.
Hopefully Monday for me :)
awesome compilation! love the vault.
@Runrama – Believe that side is just an etching.
Yes, mine also turned up in UK this morning.
A note to Runrama, Check the back of the album for track listings, Side D is blank apart from the etching, hope that helps.
Thanks again Third Man.
Turned up in the UK today just before work :)
I received the vault package 17 & I’m thrilled with the music. The only problem is the green vinyl side with “Roll me up and Smoke me” doesn’t play. Looks great but the needle just slides over it. The other side is fine. Help appreciated.
I got my vault 17 today but with no wardenclyffe sticker or record topper!!! :(
@victorperez There are 5 posters signed by Jack White to some lucky vault members.
