@adamfranklin: Awesome! Thanks for the confirmation (thx others with clean vinyl too!) as I now look forward to getting one defect free :) Read this can happen in large pressings at the end of the run… I have gotten a few lately (not third man, mostly RSD related) that have had surface noise issues, some worse than others. Those who have received vinyls in the past with bad surface noise know it when they hear it, and unfortunately mine is bad :( love TMR though and totally understand that shit happens with production sometimes.

Another thing NOT to do (which some of us did anyway and are waiting to hear back from Third Man after the holiday weekend, silly us) would be to send them audio samples of the staticky noise from your records. ‘cause, y’know, that might accomplish something and who wants that?
Don’t contact third man by email. Don’t get a replacement if your record is noisy. Comment about it here but Don’t I repeat Don’t do anything about it.
Yes side C on mine is very noisy first two tracks on mostly the right channel then it gets less and less. So I sorta was thinking they meant it to be that way. I don’t mind it. A beautiful package to have. Thanks TMR.
No surface noise here. Finished my third run through and listened specifically for it this last time.
L in Australia (Sydney) and mine arrived yesterday, picked up from post office today – @Saltywalty yours shouldn’t be too far now! Absolutely stunning box set! This is my first vault package and it’s more than I expected – so beautiful! No chance to listen yet.

L in Australia, getting a bit nervous because the FedEx number didn’t work, so no way of tracking it. I know it will be fine but I just can’t wait to get my hands on it, and my ears absorbing the music.
