Third Man Staff's Favorite Roulette Records

Far and away, the most adventurous bundle of merchandise that we offer on the Third Man online store is Vinyl Roulette. The idea is you can purchase 5 Blue Series singles at a lightly discounted price of $25 AND THEN you will be sent a mystery item along with your package, ranging from collectible pins from specific events to backstock of out-of-print merchandise. Pretty good deal? We think so. Check it out! If you've never participated before, here are some top picks from some of Third Man's omnipotent and omniscient staff:

I purchased the roulette deal and got my 5 records + one. If anyone has the chance, listen to or pick The Dough Rollers. A great rock band that you will definitely like. A great deal overall. 6 bands that I have never heard that I now will listen to quite a bit. But the Dough Rollers, a great rock band with a future.

Picked one from each! I’m super excited to hear the Michael Kiwanuka cover of that Townes Van Zandt song, I love “Waitin Around to Die”

I played the roulette a couple times… I got a few little nice things…. If you ask me my opinion… This thread seems like it needs an actual playlist of sound cloud links edited in to actually introduce snipets of the tracks for new fans associated with the tracks that these employees are sharing…. I picked up an extra Chris Thile and Tom Jones as gifts while pulling down a few tracks that were released before I joined the Vault too but i really do own a lot of these singles …… At this point I see no reason why the roulette vinyl stock cant be expanded to include all of the TMR singles for the sake of keeping production numbers up and making it easy to move fans closer to all the releases… obviously the full hand has not yet been dealt up top there in the photo…. Maybe a King or a Queen has gone missing??? But honestly…. No reason not to go for a fullhouse at this point because TMR clearly is capablle of a winning hand if you toss the one-eyed Jack up there in the middle and let him be wild you can go with what you got…pretty sure there is precedence for it…

I’ve reached the max of roulette chances but it was always fun – a decoder, a slipmat, large Olivia Jean button, stickers, postcards/prints, lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

I agree the excitement is paramount, so I will try yet again. But let me ask you this, how many times can you play? Won’t you eventually have multiples? There’s only 7 chances to play.

I bought 4 times a vinyl roulette:
first : TMR offered me 7" Dought Rollers test press of Little Lily
second : TMR offered me guitar pick
third : TMR love me I think because they offered me 7" Dought Rollers test press Little Lily
Fourth : on the road, I will receive it next week.

But I don’t buy for the gift, I buy because I want to discover artists in the blue single selection. I think this time it’s my last vinyl roulette. Or maybe not if TMR add more 7". :)
