There was a time in my life when I never, ever thought I’d get into a musician like Margo. Y’all have no idea, Jack & TMR, what a change you’ve made in my listening habits. I rarely listened to female singers before and I never listened to country beyond Johnny Cash. But then, of course, I had to get Van Lear Rose. And then The Party Ain’t Over. Then the Paramount sets broke down the dam with all those queens of the blues. I’m still picky about the female voices I listen to because there’s a certain tone that just doesn’t sit right in my ear, but I’m amazed when I realize how many you’ve introduced me to that I’ve come to love. Margo’s definitely one of them and this video sums up a lot of the reasons why.
