New Margo Price Instant-Grat + Pseudo Video, SXSW Schedule

Margo Price has shared the opening track from her debut LP Midwest Farmer's Daughter (out March 25th) as an instant-grat download on iTunes and Amazon, and as a single on Spotify. "Hands of Time" is a bleeding country anthem that doubles as album centerpiece and biographical mission statement. Stream it below:

Midwest Farmer's Daughter was recorded at Sun Studios in Memphis, with Price pawning her wedding ring and selling her car to pay for the sessions. Next week she'll perform at NPR Music's SXSW showcase, billed next to Vince Staples and Anderson Paak, along with 5 other performances throughout the weekend. See her full schedule below:

In addition, yesterday morning the New York Times ran a massive '25 Songs That Tell Us Where Music Is Going' package, including Price's "Hurtin' (On The Bottle)" alongside song by everyone from Rihanna, Coldplay, Run the Jewels, Kendrick + more. Read the incredibly compelling feature here.

"Hands of Time" is available digitally worldwide now. Pre-order Midwest Farmer's Daughter now on iTunes and get three additional album tracks: http://smarturl.it/MFDiTunes

"Country's Next Star" - Fader

"A potential classic" - Pitchfork

Cannot wait for this album, and I’m not even a “country” fan. At least, I wasn’t before I heard this. Great artist! Love how you guys introduce me to these great acts. Keep em’ coming!

I’ve said it before elsewhere, but y’all were really smart to pick up her album. You needed a good country artist on the roster to round things out, and she’s obviously got the chops and an attitude that fits right in. And all these reviews showcase not only her ability, but also what TMR can do for an artist who is really talented, works hard, and is willing to put it on the line for their craft. It’s a win-win-win for Margo, TMR, and us fans, so thanks again for introducing us to her.
