JACK WHITE ACOUSTIC RECORDINGS RELEASE DAY CELEBRATIONS!

Tomorrow marks the official release of JACK WHITE ACOUSTIC RECORDINGS 1998-2016, a 26 track double LP and double CD featuring remastered alternate versions, mixes, and previously unreleased recordings from The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, and Jack’s solo catalog. To celebrate, we're making a day of it in our Nashville and Detroit storefronts...

Not only will we have the only exclusive, limited edition version of the double LP available for sale (one per customer), but we will also launch new Jack White merchandise in both locations: an album cover t-shirt, new logo sticker, notebook, and a Fill-Your-Own 45 Box Born Rotten Bundle.

See the goods at https://thirdmanrecords.com/news/jack-white-acoustic-recordings-release-day-celebrations

AND to top it all off, we're throwing all-day parties at both locations. Read on for details...

if im not mistaken about the Muppets release…. which i may be….. the black vinyl is harder to come by than the green vinyl…. anyone back me up on that notion???

James Carter, that’s what I do as well. I did get the blue set, but had to open it. No big deal, at least I received it. I ordered the Jack and Muppets black 45 awhile back and was sent the green edition, so now I’ll have to get the black vinyl, sometimes I get lucky on colored vinyl!

Personally I try to buy both versions whenever possible. Listen to the black vinyl version and keep the limited editions seperate. If there’s only one version, limited or not, I open, listen, and enjoy :)

What’s the point of ordering it if you’re not going to open it?

CJ74

How can you tell the difference from the black issue or colored issue without opening them? I ordered both at the same time but don’t know which one is the colored isssue and don’t really want to open it. They are the same record number on the cover, but have a different order number on the packing slip. Did I possibly get two black issues and not the blue set that I ordered?

Y’know, I love the relevance of Greil Marcus referencing It Might Get Loud in his liner notes. In that film, Jack talked about wanting to join the family of blues songwriters, and how he wondered if he ever could. That’s the entire point of what Marcus wrote— A validation that Jack has, indeed, joined the ranks of that family, that his songwriting has become (and will continue to be, because of course there will be more songs) a part of that tradition.

Thanks for putting the left over blue vinyl in the Vault!

You just have to remember to check and get lucky! It’s pretty fair. Sometimes you get the super cool limited record, sometimes you don’t. I missed out on the green version of the Muppet song. Oh well, oh well, oh well!

Thanks for keeping it exciting, Third Man.

Checked every day in the Vault Novelties section for this one just to find out today that I slept too long and it ’s out of stock :(. A little announcement for Vault members would have been nice.
