JACK WHITE ACOUSTIC RECORDINGS RELEASE DAY CELEBRATIONS!

Tomorrow marks the official release of JACK WHITE ACOUSTIC RECORDINGS 1998-2016, a 26 track double LP and double CD featuring remastered alternate versions, mixes, and previously unreleased recordings from The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, and Jack’s solo catalog. To celebrate, we're making a day of it in our Nashville and Detroit storefronts...

Not only will we have the only exclusive, limited edition version of the double LP available for sale (one per customer), but we will also launch new Jack White merchandise in both locations: an album cover t-shirt, new logo sticker, notebook, and a Fill-Your-Own 45 Box Born Rotten Bundle.

See the goods at https://thirdmanrecords.com/news/jack-white-acoustic-recordings-release-day-celebrations

AND to top it all off, we're throwing all-day parties at both locations. Read on for details...

In Nashville, you can expect...

  • On-demand screen-printed t-shirts! Made-to-order with a design exclusive to this event (12-2pm)
  • Tin Types! Captured by photographer Giles Clement (12-5pm available for walk-ups, $80/4x5")
  • Food Trucks! Funk Seoul Brother Korean & Japanese Street Food (12-2pm) and sweet treats from local vendors
  • Beer! Cold, and delicious provided by our neighbors-of-discerning-palettes, Tennessee Brew Works
  • Old Time Pickin' Party! Bring your instrument & join some of Nashville's best players on the back patio! (Featuring Mike Bub, Chris Henry, Billy Contreras, Kyle Tuttle, and Tommy Oliverio.)

In Detroit, you can expect...

  • Live Music! courtesy by Behind The Times Bluegrass Band (12pm) and our familiar friend Todd Albright (1:30pm)
  • Snacks All Day Long! Free doughnuts & coffee for the early-risin'-wait-in-liners, plus freshly-popped popping corn, and more!
  • Drinks! Our next-door neighbors and friends Jolly Pumpkin serving up the good stuff at their cash bar 12-4pm
  • Strolling IMPOSSIBLE Project Photographer!

If you can't make it to Nashville or Detroit, we will miss you. Check out this list on Jack's website to see if a record store near you is celebrating with signed LP contests and poster giveaways so you can partake in the fun from afar.

Kali,

Yes! I went back yesterday morning to pick up my copy. It’s beautiful and sounds sublime.
Apparently I missed the delivery by a mere 5 minutes on Friday! Oh well, going back gave me an excuse to load up on some more 45’s in a Born Rotten case ;)

By the way… did anyone notice the esoteric numerology in the release date? Jack’s (III) 3rd album… (III) + (III) + (III) = 9… 9/9/2016… 2+0+1+6=9… 9+9+9=27… 2+7=9.

My new Favorite album release from TMR <3….I hope Jack performs solo sometime like that at Cass <3 he needs to christen that stage. The performance on Fallon last night so perfect and pure. Amazing!

I’m envious of those who got to attend the festivities in Nashville and Detroit… But, next best thing – I got my copy in the mail yesterday. Can’t stop listening. It’s so beautiful.

KURT: Did you go back to Cass Corridor? The truck got there mid-day.

Supported my local record store, paying ten dollars more…and happy to do it! Thrilled with this double compilation. A beautiful testament to “our” gifted songwriter, Jack White-chapter and verse. Amen and amen.

Anybody hear whether or not Detroit had tracked down the FedEx truck yet?
No blue vinyl this morning but a happy line none the less.

A friend just drove by the Nashville shop & called to tell me people were lined up all down 7th Avenue. Looks like no blue vinyl for me…
