While in many places, including here in Nashville, the thermometer might indicate that summer’s blowtorch is primed and apt to set the hemisphere aflame, the calendar tells us that the magical season of Summer is winding down, and Winter will soon lure us weary northerners with the promise of relief, only to squeeze us to near submission in it’s icy clutches.

Ahem.

I mean…Fall is almost here! The kiddos are back in school, their parents are still slaving away at work, grills readying for their tasty Labor Day weekend swan song.
