I am not doing it have not but just thought the account of the gals story i read was cute and a funny picture to imagine in my own mind imagining myself as a random bystander.
Yes, do what makes you happy, you’re right and I also firmly believe that maxim. But then go see what else the city has to offer.
Hahahahaha! I think everyone has done that at some point. If the idea of blasting Hotel Yorba while at the Hotel Yorba makes you happy, then go for it.
I would imagine there have been a whooooooole helluva lot of Hotel Yorba pilgrimages over the years and the folks there probably shake their heads over it. That stuff’s got to get old after a while. I mean, there’s more to Detroit than just an old hotel that has a song named after it, even if it is a WS song. I hope those two girls got around and saw more of the city.
KR is it bad that i am interested just for the heck of it. The story i read a while back was a couple girls on vacation driving up and sitting in the parking lot blasting “Hotel Yorba” wondering what the people that lived there thought of the two crazy girls in the car with the song cranked. I just love the visual of two girls in that parking lot singing at the top of their lungs and people peeking out the windows of their rooms.
@athinkingcat – It is subsidized housing. I was talking to someone on chat the other day. It was the day before the Masonic show. They had mentioned they called the Hotel Yorba and asked if they could rent a room. They were told it would be $25-35 a night. Not sure what the $10 upgrade gets you…
KR i read somewhere that Hotel Yorba is now a low income apartment complex or something like that.
Haha, nope ;)
Kali: Oh no! Did you stay at the Hotel Yorba? I know some people were talking about it.
KR: Might take you up on that. Considering where I spent the night before the Masonic show, a couch would be luxurious in comparison. ROJA: Will do. Need to put this on my calendar so I don’t forget…
