Document Volume 3
Bradley Thibaut, In high school art class I learned about the color wheel. Now a days you can do a www search and learn all about the color wheel. There are 3 primary colors: blue, red and yellow. To make orange you mix red and yellow together. It may be that URP (United Record Pressing) may have received a batch of more reddish colored orange pellets/plastic to use to press into records. That is a good question/inquiry for the day….to be answered correctly by TMR.
I can’t even tell the difference between the red and orange vinyl. They both look red to me. Is orange just a difficult color to make into vinyl?
Thank you, Jack/Swank/Blackwell, for the revisions to the liner notes in this volume. But could one of you three please write the notes for the next series of musicians? I honestly believe y’all would do a better job of it than Mick Middles. As for the tunes, the Vol.3 records are my favorites so far. There’s something about each record in this set that makes them stand out from Volumes 1 & 2. Especially Blind Willie— There’s a depth to his voice in those NYC recordings that really grabbed my ear. Can’t wait to hear who’s coming up next.
I got mine today. They look beautiful! (Although the red and orange are eerily close in color…) I can’t wait to listen to them!
my yellow patton should arrive today. can’t believe it sold out that fast! anyone know how many colored vinyl were pressed?
I made a request, I would appreciate a response. Thanks @Ben Swank
Yes Please! I totally missed out on these too and would have LOVED to add them to the collection! Hopefully some might find their way back in stock…
@Ben Thank you for your response. I wonder though if possible, be notified by email before the release of any vinyl in a limited edition for members Vault.
They were posted at an ok time here in the UK so the rest of Europe shouldn’t have had a problem either. They were up for 24 hours too, what more could be done?
