The two articles I read about the details of the show were somewhat incorrect. It’ll be good to have the Record Booth back at its home in Nashville, TN. I went away for a while and had to come back to comment on this Neil Young and Jack White ‘collaboration’ (JW doesn’t care for that word but I like it). I have been following Neil Young since November of 1969 when I was a young teenager and Jack White since September of 2007 just before entering the menopause years…and having exited the menopause years (feels great = no periods = feels like being 13 again…LOL : ). This will give me some satisfaction for a while. Now I am going to disappear again. Take care all.

follow-up update: Just discovered another online article that states the “one take record” that Neil and Jack make tonight is planned to be sold on vinyl by the next day. This TRB (Traveling Record Booth) thing is really getting interesting. I wonder if they will Fed Ex the master to URP (United Record Pressing) in Nashville or if there is a plant in New York that will attempt the feat of reproducing the recording on vinyl. / Did ya all see the recent news about URP? Last week in Nashville news we learned that URP bought a new building for 5.5 million $’s and plans to add more presses for pressing more vinyl records. They do plan to keep pressing records in their present location also. I still have to go on one of their tours there…if anyone is interested, check the URP website for details.

follow-up note about announced Jimmy Fallon show tonight, 12 May 2014: I saw an article this morning that Neil Young and Jack White will be performing a song together on the Jimmy Fallon show tonight and Jack will have the Record Booth there to record the song. Not only does TMR have the RRS (Rolling Record Store), they’ve got the TRB (Traveling Record Booth) now too. I thought that when TMR announced on their web site that the Record Booth wouldn’t be available for a while that they moved it into the Blue Room for another recording artist to have their “privacy” to record in the Record Booth like Neil Young did. Once I heard about Neil Young and Jack White being on a late night show and knowing the Record Booth disappeared from the Novelties Lounge for a while, well, I did have a hunch it might end up on the late night show with Neil and Jack. If that’s the case, that’s a pretty good hunch. I’m glad I’ve gotten my turn in the Record Booth after Neil’s recordings and before it “stars” on the Jimmy Fallen show tonight. / My bedtime is at 9PM CST every night so I won’t see the show when it is airs tonight so I sure hope we see lots of videos of the show with Neil and Jack here on www.thirdmanrecords.com , on www.youtube.com and elsewhere on the www.
