BLACKWELL'S RECORD OF THE WEEK + GIVEAWAY!

Jack White

No Name

scum stats: wouldn't you like to know?

I can't say it any better than the countless number of fans already have, so let's get to the juicy part.

I'm giving away a copy of the rubber-stamped "No Name" at random to a comment posted here before midnight central time, August 8th.

Maybe your comment has something to do with names, or no names, or maybe it's just smart or funny or clever. Don't make me have to spell it out, jeez. I mean, if it's truly the best comment ever, maybe I dig out a test pressing of "No Name" for the winner. No pressure.

And the winner is……………………………….
…………………………. Hopefully me? But if not, congratulations to the lucky winner! Whoever you are?

My Bassett Hound’s name is Judy. She will be excited when she sees my exuberance for a record with No Name. Exuberant!!!

I legit almost sent a letter (I have it in an envelope) to H.H. at the P.O. Box in Whites Creek requesting a copy before it was announced that it would get a wide release. Anyways, No Name is an excellent album – glad I got a copy in Nashville last Thursday (while on my lunch break). Hopefully I can get a copy of this pressing!

This no name stranger showed up in town last night, asked me for directions to the archbishops place. Like I said, I didn’t catch his name, I did notice he had HH embroidered on the top of the worn out leather suitcase he was carrying. Figured they must be related. Anyway he walked away muttering something about how we’ve got trouble with a capital T and that rhymes with P? That mean anything to you?

I never win these things. Maybe this time.

So far, I’ve told six friends but one never looked up from his phone so I don’t think he was listening. Does he still count?

Not having a name is great—just think of all the times you can skip the awkward introductions and go straight to the embarrassing dance moves!

So much is in a name, even a NO NAME.
An identity, a connection to a time & place, a scent.
This is a great album.
Grew up in the Cass Corridor and still live nearby, but was shot out of the album drops and concert due to health issues : (

My name was always dead… I was just afraid to tell you #ThirdManAltVault #TransRights
