I don't even know how this popped up on my radar, but a 7-inch single, reasonably priced, by a new young artist, of the rock and roll persuasion...I support and stand for all of these things.

"THUM" grooves along in a smooth Queens of the Stone Age sort of clatter, a real solid morsel of reliable persuasion. B-side is, at the moment, only available to hear on this platter and rolls in slightly more complex, chiaroscuro, that classic loud/quiet/loud Pixies-style dichotomy...indicative of forethought and potential that belies her age and maybe even her birthright.

Side note: my copy came with an unexpected and unadvertised post-it note and it puts a smile on my face. Additionally, I expected this to be a glue-pocket sleeve kinda thing...so when it arrives as a fold-over sleeve, that just felt cooler and more punk rock to me.
