scum stats: I’d guess 500 of these pressed
In a sea of THOUSANDS of teenaged Sixties garage bands, one named “The Warlocks” and covering “Hey Jo” (why’d they drop the “E”?) does far from standing out. Even being on one of my favorite Michigan label groups in the Prophonics/Coconut Groove/Washington Square family still barely causes this to stand out from the dross.
BUT…I don’t think there’s any other versions of “Hey Joe” that include actual gun shots recorded in the studio.
That’s it. That’s enough for me. I’m easy.
Produced by Cecil Washington, better known as a soul singer/producer in his own right, I just love the borderless, genre-hopping limitlessness that independent, 7-inch focused artists clicked on to back in the mid-Sixties. I wish we had some sort of modern equivalent.
This arrived recently and I’m whittling away the stray Michigan garage singles that have slipped past me in the last twenty years. Not too many I’m still in search of. Tiny victories.
lol I don’t have FB, I’m not a 15 year old girl hahaha.
Or maybe you did, and you posted it on the facebook page with a picture! Either way entitled douche are you.
Swearing on this board is fact though. You can see it on the screen. Mine, well maybe I didn’t even go to the show, maybe I did go but am just making this up to get a good laugh. Also, those JW doesn’t own those pouches @dougil. If you think 100% of them are returned, you are wrong. Also, the first pouch I was given didn’t even close correctly.
@donTazeMeBro don’t drag me into your shenanigans ? (but your point is valid). I agree that @Raw’s dire need for a picture is pretty pathetic. To brag about doing it is even more odd. The band is more than generous with David’s photos. We all voluntarily spend money for the Vault, shows, etc. They don’t owe you anything.
How is it that I dropped a few swear words about vault chat getting shut down and got a personal phone call from Vault Management saying I was walking on thin ice and Raw Dog is on here bragging about destroying private property and violating venue privacy policy put in place by the artist BAN HIM WEEBEE!!
@Raw I’ve been a member since 2013, own both Rise and Fall sets, etc. It does not give you the right to destroy and then steal JWs property. It’s wrong, you should be embarrassed. You wreak of entitlement. For all your self accolades you must not have gone to a JW show in several years since Yondr pouches are nothing new; or do you have a whole collection of stolen property?

well said!!!! ??
@Raw So you destroy property that isn’t yours (Yondr pouch) because you can’t be away from your phone for couple hours? Hmm…reminds me of a cool lil ditty:
In a time when everybody feels entitled
Why can’t I feel entitled too?
Somebody took away my god given right
I guess God must have gave it to you
Yeah, I guess God must have slipped it to you
Not a bad version. Refreshing to hear an old take on an old song. Not as much depth as the Hendrix original. Enjoyed nevertheless.
