Received my package a few days ago and finally got them on the record player and have to say I’m hearing some problems on a few of the sides. The most obvious is on “I Just Don’t Know What to Do With Myself” but a couple of the other songs have similar issues (sounds like dirty spots across the entire track). Also the colors are nowhere near pictured…more like translucent marbled pink and grey records than clear with highlights but honestly I don’t care about that I’m just mentioning it.

All in all I love the package and unlike some, actually listened to them and appreciate that they are different masters and (to me) sound noticeably different than the album versions I’m so accustomed to hearing. It’s just a real disappointment that some of them suffer on quality.

W in Illinois – received package today!

Just received and perused. This is a nifty little package. Please allow me to stress that— It’s a nifty little package. But it’s not a nifty Vault package. I opened it up, pulled out each 7", rubbed my fingers across the slipperysoft sleeves, read the liner notes, checked out the colors of the vinyl… then very neatly put them all back into their nifty little box and closed the lid. I listen to all of these songs frequently enough that I feel no compulsion to rush to my record player and slap these little puppies on it to watch ‘em spin ’round and hear what sounds they make. And a Vault package should have the opposite effect, it should make me rush post-haste from the mail box to the record player. I would have gotten a kick out of picking this up as a RSD release, but it’s disappointingly short shrift as a Vault release. Could we please not repeat this particular experiment? Thank you. I’m gonna go listen to Live in London or Live in Mississippi or Live on the Garden Bowl Lanes now. Those are some hellatiously exciting Vault releases.

R in Illinois and i received #19 a few days ago, I don’t know what everyone is bitching about. The records play fine and the art and sleeves are cool. I am glad I finally joined.

S in Arizona, received mine today.
I didn’t have really have any of the problems I’ve read about here. Nothing cut off, sound quality was fine. They’re a little thinner than I expected, but otherwise a pretty cool set.

EMac, I was revering from the time I got my first notice about VP#19 when you are asked about your correct shipping address until the time I got the email notice that VP#19 had been shipped to my address (today, 20 May). I definitely saved that first email to make sure I didn’t get forgotten but the waiting for the last 3 months made me feel like I was getting forgotten. TMR had a lot going on especially for SXSW and then Record Store Day that took up a lot of their time. The whole box idea thing may have been a little more overwhelming to put together than anyone at TMR may have anticipated and that could’ve been the reason for the extra long time in getting everyone their VP#19…only guessing though.
