Woah. Wasn't expecting that. Because of the very high quality and quantity of entries in this race, we had to have a full warehouse vote to determine the winner. Good job and thank you valued Vaulters! This is great. Now, without further ado, drumroll please...
The winner of the Vault #26 contest is: Joe V. from the UK! Joe truly went all out for this project, using the iron-on as a small seal on a huge cardboard dollar with Jack and Meg center-stage. Seriously blew us away. Nailed it, Joe. You will be sent the test pressing LP for Vault package #26 first thing tomorrow!
Check out pics below and look for other entires to be posted in Galleries first thing tomorrow morning. You'll see why it was such a hard contest to judge :)
Thanks again all!
Reflecting on how nice it is to have my photo in the gallery section! ty for reading this
Dan_Halen, I so concur. Why hate on someone’s luck when that same opportunity can be passed to us?
Very nice Joe! :)
That is a corker. You deserved to win , thinking outside the box!
Ha! I found ’em. As my favourite college prof said, “If you read, you can succeed!” Derp
I don’t see the other photos… Have they just not been posted, or am I looking in the wrong place?
Congrats Joe V.! Your design was very creative and I love that it tied in with the Gold Dollar theme. A well deserved win.
For the sticklers in the crowd… I will publish a retraction of grammatic proofing. This brings up another valid point which would be the actual moment of inspiration relative to the deadline. Obviously Joe took on a huge undertaking and was successful in overcoming the challenges associated with working in metallic paint for a good many days…. [[Try to think of it in terms of his imagination being powerful enough to have recreated the actual moment that Little Charlie opened up the chocolate bar and was holding a golden ticket in his hand waving it around. Joe was able to materialize an actual golden dollar and authenticate it with a fabric strip as if it were real white stripes currency…sure sure sure…He could have used the other photos in the vault shipment to further validate the tender nature of that moment in time such as a white apple being used on the seal/stamp on the other side of the cameo image but scale and proportion may have distorted things. Besides that fact we have to respect the more prominent fact that Joe is an artist with an artistic license to practice his hand at reproducing White Stripes images legally for the sake getting his art offically approved with the golden seal of approval.]]

It is sort of like saying….AN APPLE BLOSSOM BY ANY OTHER NAME IS STILL AN APPLE BLOSSOM IF JACK WHITE SAYS SO… Have a Happy Valentine’s Day each and everyone of you!!!
……sorry to be a hater….i just don’t see how he randomly placed the heat transfer to a picture was the one………it doesn’t even match the rest of the design layout……..:(
