With a poetic introduction by resident punk Tim Vulgar of the Clone Defects, the release show for the White Stripes' debut album is a proper middle ground document of no live debuts, no unique covers, nothing of "holy shit" magnitude but a rather workman-like effort of solidly getting the job done. Here marks the first public outing of the soon-to-be-iconic Airline guitar, choice stage banter separately referencing both trench warfare and Japanese grenades and what would, at that point, be the largest crowd the Stripes had ever played in front of at 400 and some change. The audio is rough around the edges, but so were Jack and Meg.
