This performance is so beautiful. The anger and frustration in JW shows how much he cares about the music and it’s delivery. I see the same passion in his performances today. That’s where the flashes of perfection among the many near misses come from. And everytime he hits the target, I cheer quietly inside.

Jack is so infused with the blues.. from Son House to Blind Willie McTell… those guys would have never dreamed two white folks from Detroit would be playing their songs so many years after… I hoped they would be humbled by it… I don’t know… but Its a good knowing how long these great songs can last… Love The Southern Can is Mine in this video…
