The Dead Weather Live at Shoreditch Church 2009

And the hits just keep on coming! We dusted off another previously unreleased gem for you suckers from the Third Man video archive. This never-before-seen footage from the Dead Weather's Halloween show back in 2009 finds our heroes at Shoreditch Church in London, bringing their heaviest to the historic house of worship. Perfect match. We can't believe we've been sitting on this for almost 6 years now. For those of you who were there and those of you who could only dream -- enjoy enjoy enjoy!

To anyone who ever claims Rock is dead… Point them to The Dead Weather!

Wow this brings back some memories… I was lucky enough to get in that night, no thanks to Swank though! Bumped into him at the pop-up shop earlier that day, and asked when we should return to be sure of getting in. He said about 7, but we ignored him and came back at 6 – just managed to make it in! Free sweets in the queue, and free beers at the door. Topped off a perfect weekend as it was our third DW show in a row, having seen them at Brixton and Kentish Town the previous two nights!

Fantastic video and even more incredible performance! Not sure what was going on with the priest and crucifix though. What an incredible venue though.
