An enthusiastically marginal rock band from New York City who like big drums & broken guitars, cassette recorders, loops, feedback, sad country songs, molten stoner core, chopped & screwed hip-hop, and imaginary movie scores.
To date, SQÜRL has released a series of 3 EPs with ATP/Recordings as well as music for the films THE LIMITS OF CONTROL and ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE, the latter with Jozef Van Wissem who has since joined the band for many live dates, etc..

This is really is the definition of the Bees Knees… these guys are also doing the Mission Creek gig in Iowa and presenting a soundtrack they scored… good times

I found Only Lovers Left Alive to be mesmerizing. Loved the film & the soundtrack. Wish I could make it to this show. Just like all day today during the 33 1/3 expansion festivities, I find myself wishing I lived just a hop, skip, & a jump from TMR.

Um… does anyone see the resemblance between that Sqürl and the Tusk movie promo? I am slightly concerned that the sequel will be someone turning a wayward traveler into a Sqürl…. yeeesh… cant bear to imagine…
